My girlfriend and I stayed there in September. We had the Elm Room. Overall, it's a nice B&B. The room was clean and reasonably well appointed. Breakfast was really nice at a communal table. We met a number of interesting people. There are vineyards all around which adds to the ambiance. The inn keepers are friendly. Joe isn't very talkative at first but if you get him in the right moment, he really opens up. I learned a bit about grape growing him. He pulled out a saccharometer (sp?) and showed us how they measure the amount of sugar in the grapes. Note that it is a working vineyard which is basically farming so expect some dust and dirt (er, terrior).

Upon our arrival to Lobenhaus, we pulled into the driveway and parked in the pull-off for guests. From where we were sitting, the house itself isn't visible except for an addition. We later learned the addition was added to accommodate the guest rooms. In walking to the addition, the entrance is around the corner. Upon entering, we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome by Shari. With us not being from the area, we asked if she could share some of the local highlights. Shari has an amazing openness to explain our options. We later learned she was a nurse which explains the warmth and care she presented. After getting all of the information, she showed us to our room. From the time we entered the foyer to the time we entered the "Pine" room, the place was impeccably clean. The room is simply decorated. Since it is a corner room, there are 2 large windows looking out into nature. There are no other builds in view. The best part is the heated floor in the extremely clean bathroom. (BTW: If you haven't picked by now, cleanliness is a high priority for us. Shari and Jo: you do an excellent job!) We had top-notch breakfasts for our two mornings. We would recommend the Lobenhaus to all B&B lovers especially for those interested in Wine County. There are many wineries within the vicinity. Shari and Jo grow the grapes which are sold to a neighboring winery. All you need to do is ask Shari for a map and suggestions. You'll be on your way to a great stay. Shari and Jo are the perfect hosts, always there to meet your needs but with total respect for your privacy.

Room Tip: The Pine room is a corner room which offers two large windows. However, there is a wrap around balcony which is open to all guests.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at the Lobenhaus B&B. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The bed and the linens are beyond amazing...the towels are as well. Shari and Joe were great hosts. If you are there to taste wine and eat good food, they were a wealth of information. The breakfasts they prepared were over the top. Shari's 90 year old mother made fresh cookies daily...a very nice treat after along day of wine tasting. The location could not be better if you are there to visit wineries. If you plan in advance you will never have to drive far to visit several wineries in a day. We will be back!

Our stay at Lobenhaus made our vacation to the Willamette Valley Wine Country perfect. Shari and Joe are the perfect hosts and our party of four felt very welcome. They also provided a wealth of information about wineries in the area and side trips.
Shari is an excellent cook and provided us with a large breakfast to fortify our wine tasting adventures. At the end of the day were welcomed by Grandma’s homemade cookies.
All the areas of their bed and breakfast are immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. The grounds are beautiful with trails to explore among their own Vineyard.
Thank you Shari and Joe for memories that will last a lifetime.

We can't say enough about our recent 6-day stay at the Lobenhaus B&B. We'd give it a rating of 5 plus or 6 or 7......you get the picture! The bedrooms were nicely stocked and sweetly decorated, super comfy beds and the warm floors in the bathroom were an extra nice surprise. The rooms couldn't have been more comfortable, the breakfasts couldn't have been more delicious, and the hosts couldn't have been nicer. There was always coffee, tea, or hot cocoa available and a dish of homemade cookies waiting for us after a busy day of wine tasting. There was plenty of common spaces with lots of room for all guests - large outside decks, two livingroom spaces in addition to the large dining area - ample areas to visit with others or spend a little quiet time. Shari and Joe were always willing to share their knowledge of the area, restaurants, directions, and, of course the growing of grapes! Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for such a wonderful experience - we'll be back and will recommend it to anyone who is interesting in making a similar journey to Oregon.
