What a delightful surprise I found in this hotel as I made a quick 1 night trip to the beach to meet a friend vacationing in the area. I chose a small room that was perfect for 1 person, it had everything I would need & want. But the best part was the breakfast that came with the room. The little café is delightful, as was the staff. The food was delicious...they even accommodated my specific dietary needs graciously. I'll be back!!

Those who gave a slight downgrade to the hotel should be pleased that new mattresses arrived very recently. They are the best that I've ever found in a hotel. As for the other comments commending the rooms, the hosts and the location: they're all true. It is truly a great place to relax. Definitely, it's a place to which one should return.

Canon beach is beautiful enough. This hotel is small and has older plumbing (part of the attraction) and rooms. It is situated one block from the entrance to the beach by "the Haystack" so is very convenient. The rooms are older and beautifully appointed. The bathrooms are fun and definitely different than your usual motel. There is a small cafe attached to the hotel where an included breakfast is served. It is very nice. Quiche, yogurt, strong coffee and fruit are available. Later in the day the cafe becomes a small restaurant. It has wonderful cupcakes. But you better get yours early because they tend to disappear by 3 or 4 pm. Warm chocolate chip cookies appear around 3 pm in the hotel lobby for guests. The lobby is small but is like a living room and has a gas fireplace going all the time. Canon beach tends to be cold so this is very nice. The hotel provides beach chairs. It is more a place for romance. It is definitely not a place for families.

Our plan was to be in Cannon Beach only for the day... but once we saw this hotel and went inside,we decided to stay. Best decision we made in a long time! Staff was very nice. The room was lovely. The food was great! I would highly recommend staying here although I thought the price was a little high. My husband and I hope to stay there again in the future.

Room Tip: I would prefer to stay on the second floor next time. Parking lot on both sides of our corner room a...

We reserved our room in the hotel expecting to enjoy our vacations in a beautiful place. The website that we used to book the hotel said "Free! Any additional children or adults stay free of charge when using existing beds." and it didn't clarify that children under 16 were not allowed. When we arrived, we were told that we couldn't stay with our daughter. The whole town was sold out! Finally, they sent us to other building where we could sleep but the place was noisy and it didn't include breakfast.
We were disappointed with hotel and management. The problem here was between the hotel and the website listing it, not us! but we were more disappointed with the manager who was not even contacting us knowing our problem.

The Cannon Beach Hotel was amazing! Claudia and Pierre the owners were so gracious as we walked into the Hotel and gave our name, they immediately said "Happy Anniversary" and had Champagne and delicious Cupcakes delivered to our Suite...YUMMY!!! From the moment we arrived we were charmed by the beautiful Hotel, it's decor, so warm and inviting. The Staff was extremely kind and helpful and always wore a smile on their faces! The rooms are spotless and tastefully decorated. The Hotel Cafe which included a breakfast buffet was quite nice and had an assortment of cold and hot items. However, in our 4 day stay, the menu items never varied, it would be nice to see some variety incorporated. The adjacent Cafe and Olio Cupcake Bar were equally as inviting, decorated in a Parisian atmosphere. The Manager/Chef, JanaLee, her husband, Francis and Server, Erin were awesome! Their attention to detail and customer service as well as their warm and friendly personalities made us feel as though we were dining in our best friends kitchen. The selection of lunch and early dinner items as well as the fresh baked daily assortment of cupcakes made for quite a treat indeed! We look forward to returning again and again! Thank you all for making our anniversary trip so special!!!

Arrived at the Cannon Beach hotel from an unusually hot Portland to find the weather amazing and the hotel charming. This 100-year old property has been completely restored. Our room was large and well appointed with a fireplace, and comfortable bed. Little extras like wine glasses, saltwater taffy in our room and an amazing shower head in the bathroom made us feel comfortable and welcome. We met the hotel owner (Claudia) as we were checking out and she was sincerely interested in our stay and told us about the other properties that are part of this small hotel chain. Our room came with breakfast in the morning that is served in the hotel cafe. It was delicious both days. Cannon Beach is beautiful and the town is friendly with shops and a few really great restaurants. This is a great spot for a cozy getaway.
