The Wayfarer never misses! From delectable breakfasts to outstanding steaks and seafood. Service is cheery and food prep is fast. Attention to detail, always, and never a bad meal. I have been coming here for 5 years and just love it.

Went out to a late lunch with my wife to celebrate our 20th anniversary at the end of December – we were doing a lunch-crawl, and this was our 3rd stop. It’s like a pub-crawl, but for lunch. Have a glass of wine and some food, and move to the next stop. We’re old, I guess.

Very corporate décor, a nice view, but half of it is of the hotel and surrounding buildings. Friendly enough server, we ordered some small plates and a half sandwich/soup combo left over from lunch service.

We got the small plates, but after 45 minutes and several questions as to the delay, no lunch special. So we politely told them we were done and we’d move on; could they please just forget about the order that wasn’t showing up and give us the bill for what we had, no worries. It’s not like we were really hungry, and were on our way to 4th lunch anyway.

Somehow this invited a manager over who acted like we were walking out in the middle of a dinner. It was a very odd, belligerent interaction. Tainted the place for me; wouldn’t go back.

Our joke is that they were waiting for someone to order the other half of the sandwich before they made it.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your most recent visit to the Wayfarer as part of your "lunch crawl" to celebrate your 20th Anniversary. We were sorry to hear it did not meet your expectations and was not enjoyable. That level of service is not what we pride ourselves on. Please give me a call at your convenience so we may discuss your experience further and the possibility of trying us again at another time.

My wife and I visited on a recommendation by a friend, now I be the friend recommending this place to all my friends. The food was excellent as well as the service. I made reservations online and put in a request for a view seat as it was our wedding anniversary. We showed up and we greeted by the hostess how had our table ready for us and wished us a happy anniversary. We had a excellent view of haystack rock. Next we have fantastic service by our waiter Eric, he wished us a happy anniversary several times as well as numerous wait staff. The food was some of the best seafood we have had. We have already started our planning our next trip back and the Wayfarer is definitely in our plans.

Three things I loved! Beautiful view, awesome steak, great service! On vacation in Cannon Beach, this place is worth the money. My husband and I usually aren't big spenders on food but we have been talking about our meal since we finished it! Go around sunset and you won't regret the perfect view over a great meal!

We went for my wife's bday and they sat us in a booth with a great view of Haystack Rock. The food was very good! The service needs a bit of improvement (she forgot one of our drinks and didn't come back to our table for about 10-15 minutes to bring it the 2nd time) besides that though it was very good.

We were sorry to hear your recent visit for your wife's birthday to the Wayfarer was not enjoyable with regard to service. That is not our accepted standard of service, and we hope you give us another opportunity to show our Wayfarer level of service and hospitality. Please do not hesitate to call for a reservation to ensure another beautiful view of Haystack Rock at sunset!
