Amazing beach. Go at low tide for starfish sightings. Great views. Prettiest beach. Fantastic for kids but adults will be just as amazed. Stay late and bring some wood for firepit. Great hike to awesome view!!! If in the area this is not to be missed!!!

You'll have to pay $5, I think, to get in, but it is well worth it. This wonderful place is just on the north end of the town of Canon Beach, and so is walkable or with a bike if you have good legs. But its high cliff views of the lighthouse and looking back down south over Canon Beach itself and Haystack Rock are to die for! Take your camera. Trust me. You can hike for a good long time, or bring your boogie board and go surfing down on the rocky cove.

A trip to Cannon Beach is not complete without a visit to this park. You can spend an hour or a whole day. Surfers and families flock to this cove-like beach which was not too crowded even on a Sunday! Walking trails take you through dense fern-covered forest floors...peaceful and beautiful!

We only walked around for a bit, but we had kind of a hard time figuring out where the trails started and went. I'm sure we missed something obvious (like a map) but whatever. It was beautiful.

Wonderful state park very close to Cannon Beach. There is a $5 daily admission rate but the beach is gorgeous and there is 8 miles of the Oregon Coast trail running though the park. We took the 2.5 mile Clatsop loop trail which has a 700 elevation gain in the first 1.25 miles. The views were lovely on the return portion of the loop. There is lots of parking.
