This is a venerable state park in Oregon--with views of Tillamook Lighthouse and the coastline. It can be windy, so be sure to have a windbreaker if needed.

The locals hosted a short hike to see some of the oldest remaining cedars - between 800-1,000 years old. Everyone was so pleasant and the walk was beautiful! The trees are so big and its humbling to think that they were around in 1113 AD......wow!

The park currently has a $5 Day Use Fee. The pay station is right at the park entrance, and takes MC/Visa.

We drove to the Indian Beach, and walked down. It's beautiful, unfortunately there is a lot of trash/debris there-I do plan on bringing a trash bag the next time I go to clean it up a bit.

We then got back in the car and drove up to the Ecola Viewpoint, and waled around. One of the trails that overlooks the lighthouse was closed off, so I didn't get to get a good picture. Lots of elk droppings in the grass, so watch where you step!

There are many picnic benches, and even a shelter, so it would be a great place for a gathering for groups.

This is where most of the famous pictures of Cannon Beach are taken, and it is absolutely breathtaking! On our way out, we saw an elk just off the road, I rolled down my window, and took a few pics. She didn't even run away.

Went there in Spring, April 2013. Thanks to the rain, it was only drizzling and I could take my camera out. It is a paradise for photographers, bird watchers (shooters). You can have a magnificent view of Pacific ocean from the point there just nearby the car park. Look around that area hopefully you can spot American eagles. There are nesting sites around (needs more time).

the drive to this spot is scenic and you can spot deer (a kind of deer) on the way. Excellent for weekend, specifically if the weather is good.
