“Nice place!”
Reviewed May 28, 2012

If you want to get away from the hustle/bustle of the galleries and restaurants of Cannon Beach, come here for a quiet hour. It's small but they have some nice exhibits. The staff is friendly. Ample parking. And it's donation only. Plus, nice, clean bathrooms.

“LImited but good display”
Reviewed March 17, 2012

Nice small museum with a limited offering of historical montages and quilts. Occasionally present local musicians in a small recital/display room.

“Exceptional Museum and History Center”
Reviewed March 8, 2012

This History Center and Museum is an outstanding example of what a small town is capable of doing when it sets out to create an outstanding educational attraction. http://www.cbhistory.org/

Although small the building houses a progression of exhibits including one on the original cannon for which Cannon Beach was named. As you enter the building stop and take a long look at the original cannon displayed opposite the front door.

The exhibits are interesting and educational covering quite completely a large range of topics related to Cannon Beach. A reconstructed long house, information about the history of the USS Schooner Shark, and numerous historical photos are only part of the offerings of this delightful place!

It is well worth a visit during your stay in Cannon Beach. They also offer a varied schedule of lectures and entertainment on a regular basis and a small gift shop.
