It was a nice home and was very comfortable. The only issue was when we got there one of the house rules was you could not leave your pet unattended . As a result we could not go anywhere as a family. That info would be important up front.
After the long drive from Sandpoint it was a treat to pull into the driveway of our home away from home! We had two young children with us so having a house with kitchen and laundry facilites was fantastic. My only complaint about the kitchen was the lack of cutting boards and sharp knives. I like to have at least two of each so when dealing with raw meat I don't have to stop and do dishes part way through meal prep in order to continue. If you are getting groceries for the week I would recommend heading to nearby Seaside (10 minute drive) where they have a large Safeway. The selection is much better there than that of the Cannon Beach Mariners Market.
We started off everyday with a nice breakfast and then headed down to the beach (literally 1/2 block away) with our sand pails and shovels and spent the morning playing near Haystack Rock. Afternoons were spent exploring the town and enjoying some delicious Tillamook icecream. Yum!
We are already planning our next trip to Cannon Beach and would definitely stay at the Modern Hemlock Beach House again!
