Visiting with my wife while in Canon Beach. Druids Delight was fantastic and we also had some pumpkin chocolate chip bread that melted in your mouth. Great place and fun atmosphere. Very busy, but moved quickly.

Do yourself a favor and stop in at Sleepy Monk for coffee while in Cannon Beach. Both the coffee and pastries will make it worth your while. For the quality, the prices are more than fair.

The mochas are made with a bittersweet chocolate, so they're not too sweet, and topped with a homemade chocolate whipped cream. Fantastic. A 12oz, two shot mocha was $3.75 - a real steal. They also have a caramel sauce available; again, the latte is nicely sweetened by the caramel sauce but isn't over the top.

As for the pastries, get there early, as many of the them sell out. The "Good for You" muffin is exceptional. I'd hoped to get an orange chocolate scone on my second visit, but, alas, I was too late. The chocolate oat cookie I purchased in its place was very satisfying (unlike the coffees, though, no sweetness was spared in the cookie).

The only caution I have is that you shouldn't stop in if you can't wait. It's 10-15 minutes from ordering to preparation, but that's due to their tremendous popularity. They have all the staff that can possibly fit in the space and they're all busy working. Can't fault 'em for being too popular, just be aware that it takes time.

Perfect latte. A++
It was worth the trip to find this place. It is a small shop and the signs can be easy to miss.
Quaint and cozy place serving fantastic coffee and homemade pastries.

If i lived in the town i would!

Im a coffee lover and read about this place. It was pouring rain outside but we were snug inside with the warm feel, funky antique lights, wooden hide-away type feel and the staff were so lovely (especially a long haired coffee roaster out back who i couldnt keep my eyes off! Loved how you could see out the back and watch how the beans are roasted). Had a beautiful coffee, a berry square thing and the best chai latte everrr!!! Wish i could re-visit!

Sleepy Monk is one wonderful coffee house. It is always a busy place, but with plenty of happy, helpful people. I was very pleasantly surprised to find they had vegan and gluten free baked goods. The lemon poppy seed cake was outstandingly delicious! Always in search of a good, strong decaf bean, a sample of the one they had brewed was offered to help make my decision. Great customer relations are the key to success and Sleepy Monk deems deluxe!
