What a fantastic place. Great atmosphere and amazing menu. Between the wife and I we had chicken skewers, coconut prawns, chicken curry and sirloin. Each was incredible. Be sure to get there at 5pm when it opens or you risk having a long wait or being disappointed. But there is some room for improvement. The sirloin was a little tough and there are no lower price options on the wine list.

This was out 4th trip to Cannon Beach in the past 6 years. We decided to try this place because of the recent reviews. The food was amazing. The greeter was very friendly and sat us immediately. I called ahead for reservations but they only take them for parties >6. She recommended coming before 6pm because they get full quickly and only seat about 40 people total. Boy was she right! By 6pm the place was full on a Friday night with a line of people waiting. The waiter was very helpful and quick to respond. The ahi tuna appetizer was to DIE for, as was the Cajun mac-n-cheese....all unique flavors and beautiful presentation. Menu prices were so reasonable too! The cosmo with ginger and pomegranite was a great blend of flavors. The menu has nothing typical...the chef has really created something special here. After we were done dining (don't forget to order the banana macadamia nut foster), the chef came out to every table and asked for feedback. This place should not be overlooked! Even if you don't like spicy food, the flavors here are wonderful. Plenty to pick from without heat or heavy spice. We enjoy a good 'kick' so the cajun mac-n-cheese was a winner. We will be back as soon as possible!

We visited Castaways' in May 2013 and boy what a treat it was. The food was simply amazing - my Mom had the jerk chicken and I had the Ahi Tuna - both extremely good. The service was very good as well and we met the chef to thank him in person. I did have one of their famous mixed drinks which was very nice. The restaurant is quite small so you may have to wait for a table, but well worth it!

We were directed here by Sam, a server at Blue Wave Cafe in Manzanita, and boy were we thrilled. The chef is self taught and uses local food and Caribbean spices to create a dining delight. They also have an inventive cocktail menu, which keeps the servers hopping. We arrived on a Wednesday night and were seated immediately without reservations and shortly after the place exploded to an hour and a half wait time. Our server, Megan, was working double-time, but could not have been less frazzled or more friendly. The Bahamian Dungeness crab fritters were fantastic and the Big Ka'huna tuna dish was amazing. Megan's mild warning that the wasabi was on the stronger side was the understatement of the week. But, oh so worth it. Don't miss this Cannon Beach gem.

This is a tiny place on the North end of the main Cannon Beach business area. My wife had the Jerk Chicken and I had the evening special which was wild Alaskan Salmon. Both were great!
The meals are prepared with fresh ingredients in very tasty combinations. Its not a fancy place but thats fine with me. The food was unique and prepared with care. Definitely recommend.
