One of the World's truly bold and beautiful places. It's certainly a magnificent rock, alive with winged and sea creatures.

The rocks are very interesting and an easy walk from the inn. The lighthouse is about a mile offshore so its a bit harder to get a good view.

I’ve been coming to Cannon Beach since the 50’s and still love to see Haystack Rock. I can’t even imagine how many photos I have of it in all weather, with many friends and family, alone, majestic. Indeed a special place full of memories.

Growing up in the 80's and 90's it was amazing to visit this Goonies landmark. It's funny how the movie made it seem that Haystack Rock and The Needles were just right down the hill from the house when it is about 30 minutes away from Astoria. From mountains to beach, this place has it all. I would definitely recommend for everyone not just Goonies kids to see this coast line and rock formation. Also Seaside is a town nearby with great shopping and eats! Nice day trip if your in the Astoria area.

One of our all-time favorite places to visit in Oregon! Going at low-tide allows you to explore many of the rocks around the larger Haystack Rock to see all sorts of marine life. It is truly a beautiful place to visit and gorgeous at sunset.
