We stayed in a king bed studio in the Flagship building, and it was terrific in every way. Large, comfortable, wonderful unobstructed views, right on the beach, attractive and unobtrusive kitchenette, and warming gas fireplace. (The other buildings in the complex are generally further away from the beach and, for the most part, overlook parking areas or other buildings.) In our opinion, the location of this place (a block off the relatively quiet main drag and in the center of the main cluster of shops and galleries in the town) is ideal if you prefer to walk instead of drive. Other nice places located right on the beach, such as the Stephanie Inn and the Ocean Lodge, for example, are further away from the center of activity in the village. Be sure to sample the coffee(spiked, if you like, with some fine whiskeys) at the Sleepy Monk and the seafood and fish at the very casual Ecola Restaurant and Market.
