The best thing about this hotel has got to be the amazing views. We absolutely loved being right on the beach, slept with the sliding doors open and what can be better than hearing the sound of the waves crashing on the shore? We were surprised to see a fan in the closet but then realized there is no air conditioning (except from Mother Nature which is even better). Breakfast was okay--missed a newspaper though and can't remember when we stayed in a hotel through the week without having one available--liked the real dishes, mugs and glasses. Also liked that the building we were in was pet free. We sometimes travel with our dog but appreciated the fact that not everyone likes dogs and some people are allergic. Staff was very pleasant. All in all a very enjoyable stay.

I've liked this hotel for 15 years or so. All the rooms are ocean view, they are friendly to and convenient for those with pets, and the room decor is quite nice. And now, they have BREAKFAST, something I've missed here for years. And, they have expanded the rooms available to those with pets. The newest addition, referred to as oceanfront, now allows pets, has an elevator, and is a bit nicer, but I've felt good about all the other rooms too. And they have 'no pet' rooms for those who don't want to be around the 4 legged friends. I love staying here because it is so easy to walk out and be on the beach. You can comfortably have your patio door open to the surf sounds all night long, even on the first floor because that is a little off the ground level. For a special treat, get a jacuzzi room. It has all the features mentioned above, plus the in room jacuzzi.

Room Tip: I think they are all great, so if money is tight, don't go for the high end. If it is raining...

We love the Oregon coast and this was a great place to stay. We stopped in on our way up the coast - we were camping and staying in motels. Talk about a view - right on the beach - we loved it! Staff that we met were very helpful and friendly including front desk, housekeeping and persons at morning breakfast. It includes breakfast which although not the most variety (pastries, some fruit, muffins, waffles, cooked eggs, cereal & coffee) definitely works and puts value into your stay. In checking in, we told the lady at the front desk we wanted a quiet room - she joked that she hoped we didn't mind the loudness of the ocean. ahhh, what a dream - made our way to the room, opened the sliding glass door and dreamed away. Restaurant right around the corner was good and very convenient. Upon returning to the room, enjoyed the sounds of the waves and early in the morning the fog horns. Watched the boats go out fishing in the morning - couldn't have been better. You can walk down a path to the beach and just beachcomb, sit on a log and watch the water - enjoy the quiet. We liked it so much we stayed 10 days later on our way back down. Although it appeared to be full both times we stayed, it was very quiet. Do yourself a favor and spoil yourself once in a while.

Room Tip: Rooms in the south building appear to be quieter. Also there is a rv park closer to the other build...

This motel was very clean and comfortable. The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The facility was quiet and the front desk staff was very pleasant. The room had an ocean view and with the patio door left open, we slept quite well with the wave sounds.

We appreciate this property because it is clean and has a pet free building. The included breakfast is so-so. The service is excellent. All in all a very good value. Walking distance to nearby restaurants.

I was in town for the Alumni Hall of Fame Weekend. Ocean front room with a Balcony view. The sound of the fog horn at night and the waves crashing on the shore. In the morning a walk in the cool autumn breeze among drift wood and the large stones that are everywhere. it was awesome

Room Tip: balcony This really says it all. Don't really hve any more to say

The room was clean. The view was awesome. Pool and Hot tub were ok. Staff was friendly. Having the pool towels at the front desk kinda sucks. They should think about offering pool towels when people check in. Breakfast was not good. Yes I know its free but come on. Pancakes and fake syurp? I think the eggs were powdered. You could tell the hot stuff was from a microwave. Toast and no peanut butter. Would have rather had a bagle and cream cheese then the hot food that was not good. Oh and whats up with the staff asking as soon as you walked in what room your in?

Hello and thank-you for your review.

Because we are on a public beach and adjacent to several RV parks and other smaller motels we were having non guests join us for breakfast and that is why we ask for your name and room number when you enter our breakfast room. We train our breakfast people to be polite when asking.

We do use real eggs for our scrambled eggs and usually we do get good comments about them. Sometimes if they sit out too long in the heated serving dishes they can get overcooked, I am sorry if this happened to you.
