The room was a fair size and the bed was comfy. The free breakfast in the restaurant on the property was good. It was nice to be able to have options to choose from. Front desk staff was very helpful. Didn't get a chance to use the pool but it looked very nice.
Will stay again if we are ever back that way.

Just needed a stop over on the way to San Fran. Traveling with a party of nine, six children. This place was a surprise, the rooms were clean and comfortable, a pool and simple yet adequate breakfast were welcomed. If you are not spending too much time in town, this is perfect.

We were just looking for a place to stay, low expectations. We got a huge room, nothing fancy, but spacious, clean and quiet with a refrigerator. The pool and jacuzzi were very nice. The free breakfast was cooked to order, more than I could eat and came with endless coffee.

A few blocks away is a beautiful park along the beach. Head for the sewage treatment plant (I know, but trust me on this.) Take the path that follows the fence around it and you will come to a beautiful park wtih trails to the beach and rocks to climb on. It's a hidden gem.

The first night wasn't bad for the price. The pool was nice. The breakfast simple but good. When we checked in, I asked about the possibility of staying an extra night. They said no problem just let us know in the morning. I called the desk at 8am (12 hours after we checked in) and they said that the room was taken but they would move us to a different room. I thought this a little strange but oh well right? The room they moved us to was nothing like the one we were in. The beds weren't as comfortable and we were right next to the housekeeping closet where our window view was a wall. Housekeeping was up early slamming the door and the staff was loud and foul mouthed.
The pool on our second day was over taken by local teenagers! Oh, and don't try and have dinner at the same restaurant as your breakfast. They shut the salad bar down early, the prices are expensive especially considering your sitting in a booth with torn seats. Who wants to pay $25 for prime rib with grumpy waitresses and torn seats in a diner setting?

I travel a lot in my work. Most places are simply O.K. with an average price. I found this place to be one of the best I've ever been. The price was right. The rooms clean. It has a pool and hot tub and a good real!! breakfast in the morning that came with the price. Tawny at the desk was very pleasant and helpful, a true professional. That's nice for those of us from out of town. In fact the whole staff was great. I would reccommend this place for anyone, business, Family or just a quick get away.

What I particularly liked is that they gave us meal tickets for our breakfast to use at the restaurant that shared the lot. The breakfast was very good with generous portions and the tickets were included in the price of the room. Very convenient.

I had looked online before our coastal trip to see what was availiable in Brookings. The places that I had found were already booked and I wasn't aware that it was a baseball tournament that caused it to be difficult to locate a place for us to spend the night. We ended up stuck in a smoking room with our kids and we are not smokers, usually this is a no way for us but for availiability it was our best option. We aired it out the best we could and made sure we spent most of our time exploring the area. Our kids loved the pool. It's perfect for younger kids. On the downside, if you are trying to locate a great restaraunt to eat at good luck to you. Even the restaraunt next to the place screwed up our order and we wanted to try out new places just to see if we found something special to share back home. No such luck. We come from a small town that is just as much of a tourist hole, and we realize working in the food industry sucks, but sometimes you got to just appreciate that you have a job and make it worth while to be polite. I'm mean smile that you have paying customers, not grimace that you have another table to wait on. We would recomment the hotel, just simply because the price is reasonable and its right on 101, so if your traveling its great. The beds are comfortable and the office staff is nice. If your looking for super plush or ritzy, its not.
