We spent a lovely 5 days here in June. The location is really great - walking path to the beach yet only 30 minutes from great hikes through coast redwood forests. The house is well appointed, particularly the kitchen; we cooked all of our meals there and felt that it had all of the cooking implements we needed.
The upstairs is as advertised: the ceiling is very low (as shown in the photo). What was a little hard to see from photos ahead of time was how tricky the stairs were to get to the upstairs. We opted to have our 2 year old sleep downstairs on a crib mattress we brought since we didn't think he could navigate the very uneven stairs. As adults, we determined that going down backwards was the safest way.
The cabin is one of a number in a row facing the ocean, but they were well oriented and designed so that you didn't really notice the cabins around you.
We hope to return for another trip!
If you are looking for an ocean view while drinking wine in your own private hot tub this is your rental. Listening to the waves will put you to sleep. Quaint place, clean and tastefully decorated. Every space was well thought out to supply you with everything you will need for an enjoyable stay.
We have enjoyed our time at this cabin on the ocean. The jacuzzi is a bonus and it was well heated and cleaned. The view of the ocean and sunset is amazing. I love that the place is well kept and comfortable. We will be back.

We had another wonderful weekend on the deck of this cabin. Starting with coffee in the morning in the hot tub watching the sky and the waves. The sun was out this weekend and we actually sat on the deck and read while we worked on our tans in the afternoon. Next, a glass of wine on the deck as the sun set. Then back to the hot tub after a wonderful dinner at the Art Alley Grill in Brookings, to recount what a great day we had, and listen to the waves crashing below. We have been to this cabin before and it remains my favorite.
We have stayed here many times and it is our favorite place to stay in the Brookings area. Marcia is great to work with and the place is wonderful. We love sitting out on the deck and taking in the amazing views. If it is cold and rainy then the living room is a cozy place to watch the storm. There is easy access to the beach and it's a lovely walk down to the river. We come here in all kinds of weather and all times of the year. If you enjoy beer there is a brewery on the way to Brookings called Mystic Mountain....good beer and its run by a really nice family. We usually pick up food at the Fred Meyer and then cook our meals at the cabin. It has the best views around so there is no better place to sit and have a cocktail and a nice meal.
My husband & I just spent three incredible days in this wonderful cabin for our 29th Wedding Anniversary and we will definitely be back!!! Cabin was spotless, equipped with everything you could need and super comfy king size bed. The cabin sits dead center, ocean front in White Rock Resort with the most amazing ocean views!!! Views are truly breathtaking!!! We spent lots of time on the spacious deck with great hot tub, and waves crashing on the shore right in front of you!. Easy access to the beach and short drive into Brookings for great dining options. This place is a gem!!!
Such a beautiful and relaxing place. Superb views, pounding surf, hot tub. We visit this little getaway as often as we can!
