My husband and I spent the weekend here for our anniversary. This cabin is very nice. We have stayed at this resort many times,, but this cabin is my favorite. It is very clean, there are clear instructions and labels for everything and the hot tub is the perfect temp. The owners are helpful and easy to work with. Can't wait to go back !!
We have stayed here many times. Marcia is always very helpful and easy to work with. The ocean views are spectacular and weather permitting we spend most of our time on the deck or waking on the beach. Though the cabin is small it is cozy and comfortable. We particularly like this unit because it has a king size bed, which is very comfortable and the cabin has one of the best ocean front views you can imagine. The owners just put in a new stove, when we were there in December of 2016, which was a nice surprise. We like to cook meals in and have found the cabin well supplied for our needs.
We've stayed at the Ancient Mariner numerous times. Always clean, cozy, with spectacular views. Still our favorite spot on the Oregon coast!
We LOVED this little cabin on the beach!! The view is absolutely stunning!! Sitting in the hot tub overlooking the beautiful beach is the ultimate relaxation. The place is small, but was perfect for my husband and I with our 9 year old twins. They had a ball on the beach, which was beautiful, and practically empty. The waves were a bit rough, so not really a safe swimming beach, but they enjoyed playing in the surf and picking up cool rocks. The cabin is small, the upstairs loft is tiny, (an adult cannot stand up in it), but our 9-year-olds LOVED it! The stairs are extremely steep, so wouldn't recommend it for kids younger than 6 or older than 12. The bed in the main bedroom is extremely comfortable. Best sleep I got on the whole trip=)

The Ancient Mariner #10 is a lovely holiday cabin ("tiny-home-esque" accommodations) about 500 feet from the California-Oregon border and near Brookings, OR.
There is parking for one vehicle. The facility is well-maintained and feels like a home away from home for the most part. The house sleeps 4 in a single King bed room and a double Twin bed loft, which is great for kids. We stayed as four adults and the ceiling is easy to repeatedly hit your head on in the loft. Despite that, the Ancient Mariner provides overall comfortable arrangements for sleeping.
The little house has a lovely little deck overlooking the bean and ocean, and features a small hot tub. There's nothing like watching an Oregon sunset over the ocean, enjoying a cool ocean breeze, while relaxing in a hot tub.
Other features include a fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom, flat-screen televisions with cable access, fireplace, movies, games, binoculars, and maps and guides to activities in the area.
The owners provide excellent communication, instructions, and directions to anything and everything needed. It's a no-hassle booking and stay. Should you find yourself in the area and in need of a cozy beachfront cabin to stay in, check out the Ancient Mariner!
My husband and I took two of our older children here for spring break. The cabin is very cozy and had everything we needed for our stay. The views from the deck are awesome....we enjoyed our evenings of soaking in the hot tub and watching the sunset. There is plenty of hiking and exploring to do within a 15-20 mile radius. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and didn't have any issues with the rental process.
Perfect location, right on the ocean with close beach access. We loved hearing the crash of the waves. Tim and Marcia are so quick to respond with any question you may have about your stay. Everything was explained and many notes left for proper use of the cabin. Note, this is a trailer that is made to look like a cabin. Very cute. Would recommend not more than 2 adults stay here as it is quite small, but cozy. Tim and Marcia were so wonderful as to drain the jacuzzi for us and fill with fresh water before we arrived. When the water was not hot enough by the time we wanted to use it the first night, although disappointing, they did immediately mail us a check to compensate us for not being able to use it on our first night there. So nice of them!! It was wonderfully warm the next morning and we used it constantly throughout our stay.
Restaurant recommendation: "Black Trumpet" in town. So delicious!!
