“First Dissapointment”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2013

Stayed at the park Sept 23rd and 24th. The park is located right on the ocean and should have been a wonderful place to stay. The town of Brookings is very close and has most of the conveniences you might want. The park however has exceptionally small spaces for Rv's. I have a 26' travel trailer and the space would not allow for the trailer and vehicle. The spaces are not maintained well and standing water and mud are very common ( our space had a 5' x 12' lake in the middle), I know this is Oregon and I know it rains a lot but with proper care and concern it should be usable. When asked if they could bring in some sand or much they said "oh that is not bad at all, you should see it in April" . Like I said it is not the rain it is the lack of concern.

“Beautiful Beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2013

It is a great family beach, no matter how busy it is it is not crowded. Dogs are welcome on the beach and plenty of room to build your sand castles.

“Beautiful view and beaches”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2013

Living on the east coast and Cape Cod for our entire life we expected the beaches to be similar to those of Cape Cod. To our surprise Harris Beach is not like the Cape at all. The beaches provided opportunity to climb rock formations, walk through cave-like structures and witness the amazing beauty that can only be seen on the west coast. Our grandchildren happily showed us their new home/beaches and challenged us to climb the rocks with them.

Kudos to the Oregon state park system for a beautifully kept state park!!

“Beach great, campground not so much”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2013

The beach is spectacular, you will not be disappointed. This beach has a wheelchair ramp down to the sand, I've never seen this anywhere else. Very clean, very beautiful, and not crowded. Adequate parking and clean restrooms.
The campground is right next to the highway, and you can hear the traffic day and night. The campsites are very small, very close together, and no privacy. Avoid loop D, which is the closest to the highway.
