This restaurant has been a Brookings fixture since the 1950's; ownership recently spent 5 months remodeling and have just re-opened in July, 2007. The menu combines local seafood with steaks and an extremely well-priced wine list, along with a full bar. We found the atmosphere, food and service to be excellent and it exceeded our expectations. I ordered the fish platter and my wife had a delicately breaded cod dinner. Salads were of good quality, the stuffed potato was yummy and the bread (infused with garlic) was sublime. Dinner for two with a good bottle of wine and tip was around $70; excellent value. If you're looking for a nice, upscale place to eat in a town full of fish 'n chips and basic Mexican restaurants, you'd do well to give O"Holleran's a try.
