When I saw the Lodge surrounded by snack and fudge shacks, I thought, let's get out of this Disney-like area and have a nice quiet lunch. Well, we only had to wait 5 minutes for a table and the waiting are was a nice couch by a fireplace (score 2 pts so far). Then we reviewed the menu and remembered this is a park, so no wine (subtract a point). the menu was sandwich, soup, and salad focused. So, we are a zero for the day. Reload and decide we are going to eat and not dine.
Here is where it gets better. The hamburger ($12) and Chicken salad sandwich ($12) with two lemonades total $29.00..a little pricey to just eat. They were good and we were so hungry we forgot about the wine. The waiter was excellent and did his very best to make sure we were satisfied. The dessert menu looked very inviting, but we only have dessert when we dine. Give it a try, but many others elect to bring a picnic...with a bottle of wine, maybe?
