“Beautiful, easy stop”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2013

This was well worth the drive from Portland. The falls are gorgeous and very easy to access right off the highway. Both the lower viewing and the bridge about halfway are easy to get to. We didn't do the hike to the top becaue it was cold and we had our 6 month old but it was only a mile long. There are other falls and hiking along the scenic route so we would love to do this again.

“like everyone said, beautiful”

There are also other waterfalls all walking distance around the area and as well a multitude of trails in the area.Do some internet research and you can do a lot of hiking out in this area.Depending on what you are doing and where parking can be a hassle though as sometimes depending on where you are there are very limited places to park.

“Spectacular - take the drive from Portland”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2013

We drove out from Portland with some family and enjoyed the amazing sights of the waterfall. It was raining when we were there so the flow of water over the falls made the view spectacular. I would recommend taking a rain jacket so you can stay dry when going near to the falls.
There was a short hike up the falls onto the bridge you see in pictures which gave another neat perspective.
The gift store had some nice little souvenirs and if you need food there is a restaurant onsite as well.

“Like Lord of the Rings”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2013

We hired a car and drove from Portland, easy enough to do. Not only are the falls spectacular - but there is a whole lot of history in the location that you can learn in the information centre. The paths up to the falls are an easy walk. I sent a photo to family in New Zealand who thought the falls looked like something out of Lord of the Rings. Really beautiful and you would miss out if you went to Portland and didn't make the effort to see Multnomah.

“What a Beautiful Sight!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2013

If you are traveling to or through Portland, Oregon, make sure you take the very sceanic drive West about 30 minutes to see Multnomah Falls. We went in the first part of October and had a light rain jacket on. So glad we did, when you walk up to a closer view of the falls, there is a light mist that falls. So beautiful!!!
