I visited Boardman for business and stayed at the River Lodge and Grill. There's just not a lot to choose from in this town, unfortunately. The dining area is open and clean with a great view of the river. The wait staff was very friendly and quick to take care of my drink order as well as food. The menu looks decent with several items; however, the taste is not that great. I ordered the Pasta Primavera the first night which was very overseasoned and had some of the toughest chicken I've ever tasted. After that, I stuck with the soup and salad which were decent. They do have some nice local wine, so that is a plus. Overall, if I didn't need to eat to survive, I would have probably skipped this one.
