We have used this motel several times over the years because of it's dog friendly nature. It has a very nice fenced grassy area for the dog to do it's business, although a bit of light in the area for evenings would be nice. This would help keep visitors from stepping in a dog pile left by irresponsible dog owners. I agree with other posters that the property badly needs refurbishing. Less than adequate parking, no clocks in the room (microwave has a clock), breakfast experience is less than satisfactory due to blowing fuses, malfunctioning toaster and half working waffle iron. Breakfast burritos were frozen in the middle and bacon was half cooked. The Continental Breakfast took over 40 minutes due to a large amount of people with appliances that barely worked (10 minutes to half bake a waffle).

Our bathroom flooded from toilet overflow in the above room on the second night of our visit. The light fixture filled with water and there was a foul smell in the room. By the look at the ceiling patches in the bathroom, this has happened before. This was at 11:30 PM on July 4th weekend so Bend was pretty booked up and another dog friendly room was not available. They booked us up with a 2nd floor room in another obsolete hotel. Our older dog could not navigate these stairs (our reservation requested 1st floor). So we end up stranded in Bend at 12:30 AM with no place to stay. All we could do is drive home to Portland (almost a 4 hour trip) and give up the final day of our Bend visit.

The manager acted like he was doing us a favor to comp the second night of our visit (when the bathroom flooded) and refused to give us any other compensation for our extremely unpleasant visit. He also claimed that he knew nothing about the problems with the Continental Breakfast, although people were complaining left and right.

Needless to say, we will not be returning to this motel and recommend that others stay away as well. They desperately need to refurbish the place and they need a new, more people friendly manager.

Room Tip: Second floor rooms won't flood due to malfunctioning toilets.....

Very down at the heels. My room was not clean - carpet stained with some sticky spots, a small dilapidated dirty tennis ball behind the door. Nice-sized refrigerator that wouldn't get cold even on the coldest setting. Wireless Internet barely connected - I could have run to the library and checked my email more quickly.

I suspect Bend has many motel-type properties that are more up to date and cleaner-feeling than this Days Inn, which seems to be on its sad, dirty last little legs.

We stayed here one night while traveling through Oregon. This motel is badly in need of an update. The room was clean, but the furniture is worn and looks like it was purchased many years ago. Breakfast was ok, ice machines are in the same state as the rooms, need update or repair. We felt safe, but would not choose this motel again unless it has some improvements.

Loved the staff here - awesome job. Rooms are good value for the $ - loved that you could walk to a lot of places. Look - it's no 5-star hotel, but you're not paying for it either. We had 3 rooms and everyone had a great time.

The room was clean and decent. I wouldn't typically stay at a motel, but it was a work trip and I was limited by cost. I didn't eat the free breakfast, but I did look it over and it wasn't the most appetizing. (The serving dishes were sort of old and beat up.)
