My husband and I stayed here 8/15-8/19 in a River Ridge Condo. The condo had a well equipped kitchen w/a breakfast bar as well as a full size dining room table with seating for 4. Comfortable living room with a fire place, huge windows and plenty of seating. There was a door leading to the deck. The sink and toilet area was separate from the tub/shower combo which was nice for getting ready in the morning. A hairdryer was provided (but I brought my own so cannot attest to the power of it-it was the typical attached to the wall hotel kind). The tub was a jetted tub, soap/shower gel are provided in a dispenser mounted to the wall and there is bar soap in the sink area. There was a stacked washer/dryer in this room (no laundry soap/dryer sheets are provided). The bedroom had a king bed, small tv, two chairs and a door leading out to the deck. On the deck there was a private hot tub, small table and chairs and a BBQ. The property has a nice nature trail, pool and two jacuzzis and an athletic club you may get passes for at the registration office. It's far enough out of town to be quiet but close enough to easily access shopping and dining.
Pros: Loved having the private hot tub. At first I was worried about the cleanliness but they provide a test kit to check the chlorine and Ph levels and ask you do a test each time you use the hot tub so that made me feel better. It is situated on the deck to afford you privacy so it is very romantic. The condo was very spacious, much better than being in a cramped hotel room for several days. The area is very quiet and peaceful, we never heard anyone else. The bathroom was very clean! Both the shower and sink areas had white tile and grout which can get grungy looking fast but it was sparkling. The kitchen had everything (not sure if this varies from unit to unit or not though). There was even a crock pot! The maid service made fresh ice cubes and there was a new box of baking soda in the freezer (fridge too) so they had no gross taste which was great since I have to have ice in whatever I'm drinking. Maid service was daily (this depends on how long your stay is and is explained on a card in your room) and they did a fine job cleaning up, replacing towels, etc...
Cons: Whoever was in the unit before us must've left the windows/doors open a lot bcs we found tons of bugs. Nothing like an infestation, just a few moths, spiders and beetles each day. Minor annoyance but it was gross. I suppose to be expected since you're surrounded by a forest but still, eww. If you are elderly or have young kids getting in and out of the tub could be a challenge. It's a very deep jacuzzi tub so the bottom of the tub lower than the floor so you're stepping quite a ways down into the shower then back up again to exit. Could definitely be tricky. Really minor cons but the only ones I could think of. Pros definitely outweigh these!
We will be in Bend the same time next year and will stay here again. It is well worth the price.
