I asked for a nonsmoking room and verified they had wifi. My room had a very noticeable cigarette smell, though somewhat faint and I never managed to connect to the wifi signal over 3 days there. Also had a friend trying to contact me through the room phone for a medical emergency situation and the front desk doesn't bother answering the phones at all past about midnight. I had to go out and buy a prepaid cell phone the second day because I could not rely on the owners for basic phone service.
Also lots of people hanging around/loitering that I wouldn't really care to meet on a dark street alone.More
