The sushi rolls were over-sauced, all I could taste was the super sweet syrup. The yakisoba noodles did not have a traditional flavor or feel. The Seaweed Salad didn't have the light crispness I usually enjoy when eating this salad.

Our server was sweet and thoughtful but hard to find at times. We won't be visiting this sushi restaurant again.

On a recent visit to Bend, we enjoyed a light supper for two...and were so impressed that a few days later we returned with a party of six. The standards, like a sashimi combo of sake, hamachi and maguro, were perfectly fresh and firm. The creativity of the rolls, such as St. Helens and a surprising coconut roll were fantastic. The pom-pom sake-tini was tart, ice-cold perfection, and the bento box with beef teriyaki was very good. If only it had a dark, warm atmosphere instead of the cavernous mall-type space with stadium lighting. Nonetheless, the food and service were good, so we'll be back.

We only waited about 10 minutes on a Friday night to get a table, but it felt that they were short handed. Hard to find our server. The sushi was really good. My son had teriyaki chicken which he liked.

Formerly one of my favorites, Mio's service is severely lacking as of late. I never expected to wait 45+ minutes for a few simple rolls on a weeknight. (Nor did I expect that my waiter would make himself so scarce during that evolution) thankfully, Bend is home to several other sushi spots that are happy to welcome new 'regulars'. Pros: inexpensive and convenient to the Old Mill. Cons: budget an extra hour for food to be made (seriously), and don't expect to be able to get a refill on your beer or sake unless you brought your own.

This restaurant offered affordable and delicious fresh made sushi. We were able to sit at the bar and watch the chef prepare our meal right before our eyes. It was awesome! We have been there many many times and will continue to return.
