I was disappointed with this property.
Although the units are a reasonable size the 2 queen beds and the enormous wardrobe affair filled almost all the space. The only way to watch tv was from the beds as it could not be seen from the tiny sitting space.
The beds are soft but linens OK.
Breakfast was basic and supplies were not regularly replenished. As others have noted, seating in this area is scant.
If all you want is a bed and a coffee this would probably fit the bill at the right price.
We would look elsewhere if we were in the area again.

We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel was very nice, the king bed room was quiet (except when the maids started picking up their equipment next door), large, and very clean. It was not a new hotel but everything is maintained very well. The swimming pool looked very well maintained though we didn't try it. My only complaints would be the few stains in the carpet and the breakfast. The breakfast was ordinary though it had all the basics, but there is not enough seating in the breakfast room itself (overflow tables are in the lobby). This hotel is convenient but not an easy walk into town, fyi. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Nice room, beds were ok. it was a little dated on some of the stuff in the room. Drunk guy was there cops took care of him quick. Overall it was fine stay. Parking late sucks cause spots go fast. Black bear is right there to.

A quick stop over in Bend, we chose Red Lion from TA reviews. Rooms clean, nice size and very nice. Walking distance to town. Staff was super nice too! Great breakfast! Will stay there again when we return to Bend!

Not quite sure how to rate our stay. This is because everything (bath, sink, desk, nightstand, floors, linens, etc.) in the room was exceptionally clean and spotless, EXCEPT for the lounge chair and the door surfaces. The interior of the main door, as well as both sides of the bathroom door were covered in dirt and finger prints (and who knows what else). The chair had massive stains all over its surface (including the ottoman)—we couldn’t even sit on the chair due to how gross it was.

I am not really sure how 90% of the room could be spotless (and I mean really, really clean), but the remaining 10% filthy and disgusting? Especially when they are charging over $100 a night and when they tout they want to be the area’s #1 rated hotel on TripAdvisor?

The service was great however and the location convenient.

It's hard to find a decent motel in Bend for under $100/night. By booking ahead we got a decent rate and I think you can find similar rates on Priceline and Expedia (though maybe not in high season). The room was fine with updated bath and vanity. Plus: Nice bed linens (double sheeted), quality towels, good bath products, satisfactory Wifi, ok pool area, adequate complimentary breakfast. Minus: Property not aesthetically pleasing (though we could view Pilot Butte from our 2nd floor room), room a little tight, motel-like feel with exterior doors and though it was 'surface clean' I felt better after wiping handles, light switches, remote, etc. with a lysol wipe. If you want to save $$, just need a place to sleep then this should be fine for you (it was quiet at night). Don't expect it to be a three star property. If you like swankier looks, premium TV channels, flat screens, newness and access to attractive public space don't stay here. We went to Bend for bicycling, hiking and brew pubs, so weren't in the room much. The location on a busy road with no bike lanes prompted us to figure out a way to access roads with bike lanes--go out the side of the property to Olney and work your way out.

Jasper at the front desk provided exceptional service from the minute I walked in the door. She was friendly and extremely helpful. The room was very clean and nicely updated with all the amenities. Honestly, I was surprised by the whole experience. I would highly recommend this Red Lion for its value and the service I received.
