Its mostly a butcher shop, but they also serve hot lunches and early dinners. The have a mixed pork and beef burger which is delicious and lean. I also had their cheese-steak which is very messy but great. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable, and will talk with you until you make the right decision. Cost on the meats is steep but the meals are pretty normally priced.

However it doesn't have many tables- and it is usually pretty busy for being on a backroad at the edge of town. Good omen for the food, but it makes finding a seat tough sometimes.

Pono Farm and Fine Meats butcher shop/restaurant was an amazing find. The sandwiches are huge. I have had both the hamburger and BLT on two separate visits, both times going home with half a sandwich to eat for another meal. My four year old daughter loves their hot dogs and french fries. I know I can count on her eating when we go there (which at times can be a problem). Their sides are amazing! My favorite was the cucumber salad. Not sure why the last review stated the meat was salty, we did not feel that way at all.
We also purchase the ground beef for BBQ's at home. Yes, it is more expensive then the grocery store, but I know it is of the best quality, and the tastiest meat we have ever had!

Based on the 2 raving reviews, we decided to pick up meat at this location for a BBQ during our recent visit in town. The meat was pricy, so we pick a pre-marinated meat and sauages. They are all too salty to enjoy. We were planning to be there for lunch the next day, but all voted not to go. The service was very friendly.

Pono raises the beef and pork it serves. The meat used to make the burgers, steaks, sandwiches and sausages is excellent. The food will satisfy even the biggest food snobs. The French Dip and the Steak and Frites are off the hook. You won't leave hungry. The sides are delicious and change often. Fresh, local ingredients make this the best lunch place in town.

We love to support local business, especially when they are just starting out. And when we have a meal that is unusually good, we like to share the news!

We just had lunch at Pono Farm, out on Hunnell Rd across from Les Schwab. They serve local hormone-free Wagyu beef (same breed as Kobi) grown right in Redmond & Culver. They also have Berkshire pork, and will soon have eggs. You can buy the meat to take home, or they have a small menu. The food was fantastic! We split the cheese steak sandwich, with one side for $10. I highly recommend the skillet green beans. Best french fires in town!

Be sure to try it before everyone else hears about it!
