“Great place for horseback riding”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2012

My hubby and I came to Bend for a week & while he was backcountry skiing I went horseback riding a couple days. Kevin and Therese at Flyspur Ranch were awesome. It was not your typical nose to tail trailride. All the horses were in great condition and well cared for. I was paired up with one of the owners personal horses (a Tennessee walker) who was dream! The group was small(only 4 counting the guide) and we were at times able to trot and canter (not just plod along behind each other like so many trail rides). I would recommend them to any novice to experienced rider and hope to be back next year.

“Equishare program and youth instruction”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2012

Kevin and Therese established their horse ranch with a good understanding that many people love to ride but do not have the time nor the means to own horse property and manage the responsibilities of maintaining a horse on a daily basis. Equishare allows you to buy a month of riding time for $100 for 6 hours of riding plus a lesson, or $150 for 10 hours plus a lesson. Their horses are well trained for trail riding or arena work. My 3-year old granddaughter is taking a series of 4 lessons and her instructor is marvelous. Addie is crazy about horses and her mother and I are amazed how much she has learned at such a young age. Kevin and Therese set high standards for their ranch and business. The ranch setting is beautiful and numerous trails leave directly from the ranch and traverse the foothills of the Cascades offering tremendous views of the Three Sisters peaks, Mt. Washington, Mt. Jefferson and Broken Top. Their rates are fair and they really care about providing riders with a memorable experience.

“Horseback rides and/or Fly Fishing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2012

Love to ride? Horses for all levels here, just 5 miles out of Bend. And if you want to go fishing, that's here, too.
