There has been a proliferation of brew-pubs in Bend over the years. We went for a pint of beer and food at this place recently. The selection of beers is excellent, the service in the restaurant is prompt and pleasant. The food is brew-pub standard fare: key items are French fries and burgers. The food is average. If a refuelling is what you seek, you will not be disappointed at Cascade Lakes.
Tip: Be prepared to wait for a table if you have children (not permitted in the bar). If adult company only, there is no problem getting a table and grub in the bar-area.

My son and I attempted another brewery in town, but they were overrun with customers and understaffed. After realizing this other brewery only had one television and that it would be out of sight from any seating we might acquire, we traveled to Cascade Lakes Brewing. My son and I enjoyed our time together and the waitress was very nice, helpful and attentive (perhaps she has learned that tips are predicated upon service, not just being there?) . The food we ordered was VERY good. They also have very good beer.

I tried the Cyclops IPA at Cascade Lakes Brewing Company in Bend and it was amazing. It had a complex variety of hops, including floral and aromatic hop varities, akin to Ninkasi, Boneyard, Flash Brewing, O'Dell's, etc. The vegetarian burger was just okay, with the speed of service far outshining the quality of food. The battered fries were perfectly done.

Nice selection of beer. Great location across the street from Towne Place Suites. Food was okay. Waffle Cristo was a take on the Monte Cristo - served on an Eggo, so the sandwich was small and there wasn't any raspberry jam! Kind of disappointing but we enjoyed trying many of their beers.

Was surprised by the huge portions of food and great quality... our best brewpub experience in Bend. The brisket french dip was amazing. Was a little bummed they were out of their red ale (which seems to be a theme in Bend... IPA city).. but I found an amber and a strong ale that did the trick. Service was good, but we did have to relocate at first due to the 'back room' being filled with families with very loud kids.
