Their logo says it all--Where Mezze meets the Mesa. This is an curious blend of western ranch meats and Middle East. We recently went back after some time away and, again, were surprised at how good it is. We've always just ordered a mess of mezze to share around the table and would recommend you do the same. Find something you really like? Order more. Some of the ME stand bys are a bit pedestrian (hummus and baba lack the creaminess and punch of garlic I prefer) but you won't find it any better in Bend. We've tried most of the small plates and have not been disappointed with any. My only frustration is the pita is not fresh and thus not real good. It is a simple bread to make and you always find it fresh in Portland ME eateries. It would be nice if Joolz could do the same. If you want to do this on a weekend or during tourist season be sure to get a rez as the place fills up and the wait can be long.

We made the mistake of trying to find a table for dinner on Valentines Day in the late afternoon! We were able to get 2 seats at the bar and we are glad we did! Our bartender/server was great, friendly and attentive on a very busy evening! The food was delicious. We ordered off the 'Small Plates' which were very generous! My sidecar wasn't bad either. Will be my top choice for dinner when we return to Bend!

Followed reviews to this small but cozy, well decorated restaurant. Only negative was a long wait at the front to be even noticed or seated. Food was excellent. We began with Hummus on the Range (a small plate - shared) which was very tasty. Then main of Kabob (one lamb and the other lamb & chicken) and substituting for the sweet potato and russet fries. Lamb could have been a little more tender. Our server was delightful and attentive. Place was not too full so noise level very acceptable.

Great food with nice atmosphere. Everything we ate was very good, loved the fried Cauliflower! Bar scene is good and the restaurant has a nice cozy feel.

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner here. Started with small plates, shared by several of us and then we all moved on to different menu items. I am not a big risk taker when it comes to food ..I don't like heavy spices, etc. But this was a very, very good restaurant.
