This museum has a little bit of something for everyone. The architecture is really cool, the live animals (a rescued bobcat, a lynx, a young otter, owls, eagles...) are awesome, the outdoor open-air homestead is authentic and interesting, and the indoor exhibits are well-designed. I especially liked the re-created silver mine and pioneer town, where the sound effects really added to the experience! I did notice that some of the exhibits seemed a little one-sided in their presentation of history, and you can get lost since some exhibits are inside the main building while others are outside or in the otter building, but if you have an afternoon to wander, this is a great spot.
