Had quick dinner our first night in Bend after driving in from Portland. We both ordered a sandwich and fries - nothing complex. The server set our food down and scampered off in the blink of an eye. Sandwiches were OK, but just that. Very generous portions. The fries were cooked normal - net even close to the well done we asked for. At least they left off the salt as we had requested. Before we could get the servers attention, the place lost power. (heard later that lightning hit a substation and knocked out a that part of town). So much for getting the fries recooked... At least the servers knew how to use the old style credit card machines so we could pay with credit card..
We have been to a few other Black Bear diners on out trips to the West Coast. This one was not as good as the others. I would go to a BB diner again, but not this one.
