We were in town to visit a friend and had originally booked at a different hotel but when we arrived there the area was seedy and didn't particularly want to stay next to a strip club. My husband saw the Cascade Lodge on the way in and so we backtracked and booked a room for two nights. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and of nice size and looked like it had been recently painted. The linens were a little tired but the towels were newer and fresh, the bed was comfortable and there is a fridge and micro in the room. The pool is very nice, heated and well maintained. Convenient location. We'd stay here again.

I stayed here last week overnight. The motel was clean and comfortable. It had a little coffee pot, 'fridge and microwave oven in the room. The pool was heated and well maintaned. I didn't have a laptop computer, but they had a pc in the lobby for guest use. The manager or owner was friendly and seemed to care about customers. The motel was within walking distance or a very short drive to stores and fast food restaurants and was centally located in Bend. I pad $54.90 after tax which was reasonable. I would recommend this motel for someone that is looking for a moderately priced room to stay for the weekend, traveling 'solo' or as a couple if you are not looking for all the frills.

We stayed three nights and everything was clean and comfortable. Every time we drove in or out, someone was cleaning or doing maintenance. We will stay here again.

We just needed a reasonably priced place to crash. This turned out not to be so good. Our room was o.k. but there are too many strange people staying here.

My grown son and I stayed just 1 night, needing a place on that particular stretch of road. There are dozens of options within a mile or 2 and this one was the perfect choice for us. The rooms appeared to be newly painted, inside and out, and our room had new carpet, a nice tv, microwave, coffee maker, and mid-sized fridge. It was a surprisingly large room with 2 queen beds, a dining table with 2 chairs, a desk and chair, 2 easy chairs with an end table, lots of lamps, and lots of drawers in the tv stand and kitchenette area which would be nice for a longer stay. Our room was back from the road and surprisingly quiet. The free wifi was a nice bonus. The room was clean and so nicely appointed it would have been a great value for much more than the $45 + tax we paid. There's even a pool for warmer weather and it's nicely located just a few miles from most of the major shopping areas on the main route through town. Great find!

I hvve stayed at Cascade Lodge and found it to be clean, quiet, and affordable. Close to downtown, with a local bus station right in front of the hotel, 2.50 a day you can ride around the City. This is a great deal for folks wanting to visit Bend.

I was looking for an inexpensive hotel within walking distance to the Old Mill district in Bend. My stay at the Cascade was comfortable. My room was about $50 total with taxes, a good deal compared to most of the fancier hotels in town (the Best Western down the street was $90, and the fancy places are $150-300.)

My room was very clean and in good repair, no stains. The bed linens were fresh and crisp, and the fellow at the front desk was friendly.

The Cascade reminds me of the old Mom-n-Pop Route 66 motels. The rooms are set back from the road, and mine was very quiet. They have a great pool, microwave, fridge, TV with HBO. No frills, tho - no alarm clock, shampoo, or breakfast.

That's OK, though, since you should check out the Black Bear Diner a few blocks north for a really "wow!" breakfast.
