My husband and I stayed here recently with our 2 and 5 year old. We were given a room on the second floor, a room that didn't share a wall with another room. Things started out good until we received a call to the room saying the person below us was complaining about the jumping my children were doing. We were shocked since we had been sitting down, eating a pizza we brought in. Our 2 year old was just doing normal 2 year things, going from here to there in the room checking it out or going through luggage. There was no jumping. A little while later, my son is in the shower and we get another call asking us to move to a different room. I was in the middle of getting the children ready for bed and said I'd talk to my husband and call back. When my daughter was in the shower another call came in threatening to call to police if we don't move!! The front desk guy said more complaints came in. It was absolutely ridiculous. We weren't doing anything excessive and have never in all our travels been treated like this.
We moved to a lower level room, next to the laundry room. The front desk guy 'guaranteed' us no one would do laundry until we checked out the next day, so we won't hear any laundry done. After listening to every footsteps the person above us took, listening to every trip to the bathroom that person took, flushing a toilet, washing up, we finally fell asleep. Thinnest floors I've ever encountered. Then we were woken by what sounded like a train but it was just the washing machine running at midnight. My husband attempted to call the front desk, but the phone didn't work. So he had to walk to the front desk in an attempt to get it stopped before the children woke. The new person working had no idea about the 'guarantee' we were given. Great communication folks!
The real kicker was while checking out, who come out of the room directly across from the second floor room we had been originally given?? A family with 3 small children, all 5 and under! I know their ages because the are acquaintances of mine.
Of course the person below heard out footsteps because the floors are thin, but any other room complaining about our steps would be impossible. Probably came from the other family. And of course noises would stop by the time we moved because it was past bedtimes for little children.

Dear Valued Guest,

Please accept my apologies regarding your recent stay at the TownePlace Suites. I can certainly understand the inconvenience of moving from one room to another once already settled and am sorry to hear your overall experience was affected negatively because of this. We will take your experience as a training tool in our next staff meeting and for future guests. We hope that you will give us another chance and allow us to accommodate you on your next visit to Bend.

It's comforting when the front desk staff recognize you and greet you warmly... LOVE the location of this place! We feel right at home when we check in. Walking distance to one of the nicest Safeway's in Oregon....

Room Tip: I always stay on the top floor, but that's just personal preference.

I stayed at Towne Place Suites and the service and accomodations were excellent. Clean rooms and friendly staff! Kimberly Marsh, the front office manager was also very helpful in dealing with a billing issue. She made sure it was taken care of and was on top of it! Would recommend this hotel if you are staying in Bend!

I actually didn't expect too much but was very positively surprised about TownePlace Suites. Rooms are spacious, there's a nice pool and breakfast is good. It may be a bit out of center, but everything you need is around the corner. Safeway, Starbucks, Subways and many places a just a few blocks away (the deli in Ray's Food Place has excellent sandwiches), and there's a decent pubfood bar with good beers at the adjacent roundabout. We had a room with a kitchen in it, only thing was that one of the two cooking pits had broken down and staff wasn't able to have that fixed in the four nights that we stayed there. Sort of limited our cooking options. Staff is nice and helpful.

My wife and I had a quite and restful one-night stay at the TownePlace Suites in Bend during our recent visit to Central Oregon. The rate was very reasonable. This is newer hotel with modern and appealing décor. The décor of the lobby and breakfast room is very nice is fits with the mountain atmosphere of Bend. This hotel is located in southwest Bend near the intersection of Colorado Avenue and Century Drive, about 1 ½ mile from downtown. We enjoyed the large size room with a kitchenette with full sized refrigerator, small stove, dishwasher and microwave. It is sort of a Residence Inn lite.

The staff was friendly and professional. The king bed was comfortable. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The Wi-Fi worked well in the room. The climate control for the room worked well. The breakfast room, adjacent to the lobby, was very pleasant with windows. The free breakfast buffet food selection was somewhat limited but adequate. It included items such as a good selection of cold cereal, juice, waffles, toast, muffins, coffee, and fresh fruit, and yogurt. We will stay here again when in Bend.

Room Tip: Ask for room on lobby side of hotel, away from Century Drive. These would be the quieter rooms.

No complaints. Big room for our family of four. Even brought in a roll away for one of our kids so they wouldn't have to share the double sofabed - still plenty of space in the room. Pool was a highlight. Sun all day, nice chaise lounges and tables. Hot tub. Breaky was standard and ample for us. Bagles, toast, muffins, waffles (yum), bananas, apples, yoghurt, various cereals and granola. Selection of beverages. Perfect. Location super quiet yet minutes to everything. Morning run along the river was a highlight - river just a few blocks away. Paid $94 with AAA rate thru Expedia.

Room Tip: Ask to be away from the elevator and lobby. Vaulted foyer means sound carrying from lobby to rooms...
