“4th of July Getaway”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

My husband & I visited Portland, OR over the 4th of July. We had never been to Portland before and wanted to experience some of the wineries in the Portland area since they are so highly regarded. The staff at the front desk was most helpful in offering their suggestions for nearby wineries. We took their advice and visited Elk Cove & Oak Knoll. We were delighted with the wines and the proximity of so many offerings close to the hotel. We had an opportunity to attend the Blues & Jazz Festival in town on the 4th and again were delighted with our choices. The hotel was within easy driving distance to the city which offered many wonderful things to do and see. Our stay was definitely the getaway we needed and we're planning our return trip next year!

Stayed here for 2 nights. I found check in to be very fast and service to be very friendly. They had some coffee and teas in the lobby which was nice when we were coming in from a long day. It was a clean room with comfortable beds. Would stay here again.

Overall I had a great experience however, I am there for one reason and it is to have a good night sleep. That was not accomplished due to some of your guest above my room and then your staff for taking them three days to resolve the issue.

I stay here for business a few times a year for the location. If you are diamond you usually get upgraded to a larger room that has a nice work space. The breakfast is your typical HGi fare which is good. The bar is good and staff is friendly

For anyone who's travelled to Portland, you know how bad the hotels are there (I have yet to find one that is relatively decent). This hotel though, I must say I really like. The rooms are nice and comfortable with some sort of memory foam mattress (BIG PLUS) and the rooms are clean and nice. The staff was very kind and helpful - except for the "waiter" Edgar, who I will NEVER have again. Worthless! Aside from that, it was a wonderful stay, it's got everything you need to get things done. The only weird thing I've never understood about Hilton's is the door opening outward for the bathroom (and the wallpaper). But nevertheless, the price was good, the location was good, and the staff was ready and willing to help out for everything. Will definitely be staying here again when I'm in Portland!

We were in town for my daughters tournament. Very busy, get business done weekend. I appreciate this location and its comfortableness. The restaurant is comfortable and unpretentious. You can sit and watch the chef cook your meal , while you get caught up on the days events . You can stroll down to the lobby for a nightcap or big 'ole bowl of ice cream. Just like home.

Basic hotel with all the basics covered. The breakfast is $10.99 each and while some is hot and a few things are prepared for your order, most are from warmed serving trays. The pool is smallish and a very noisy space. Rooms are the basic hotel room layout. One night and four people for breakfast cost about $185.00, I think a better value can be had elsewhere -- like across the street were the other members of the team stayed with better accomadations and for less money.
