Went here based on other Trip Adviser reviews and they were exactly right. You go here for the food. The Butter fish was the best ever and the rest of the menu not far behind. Scallops were excellent and far from a skimpy portion. We have had a great lunch there on a previous trip, dinner was even better.

This would be my forth visit to The Loft, first time with my wife (for her birthday!) and again it was simply great. It's hard for restaurants to retain good staff out on the coast (just read the reviews of Redfish down in Port Orford) but the staff at The Loft are as great as the food so it's a total win/win. We started with a shared steak tartare which is about the best I've had. She had the butterfish (no idea what kind of fish it really is, but it was buttery and wonderful) I had the special braised pork cheeks which were melt-in-your-mouth tender. We finished with a shared goat milk cheesecake (which is huge and luscious). Call ahead during summer! Dozens of people were gently turned away whilst we were enjoying our meal. We went back the next day and sat at the bar and shared another steak tartare. Lovely small room, great views (even if you're not seated at a window), excellent service, and wonderful food prepared and served with care and pride. Looking forward to visit #5.

We were lucky that evening as we were offered a table without booking. It was last table before 7pm when afterwards the place was crowded. The food and service was very good and the dishes were well interestingly presented. We had good view of the ocean eventhough our table was not by the windows. The only snag was that the place is very small and when it is busy it feels cramped.

We enjoyed every bite - from the beautiful large scallops, melt in your mouth butterfish, to the outstanding desserts - we didn't share this time - his- lemon tart; hers-goat cheesecake! The view of the marina is nice; very pleasant & helpful waitress, background music to our taste. One of the best restaurants in the upper $$ that we have found anywhere.

You are upstairs, so the view is great. The food is creatively presented (the kind you photograph first, but not tiny portions and not piled too high to eat without destroying). The restaurant is small and the tables are next to an attractive bar. The atmosphere is adult, and I highly recommend leaving children at home. Four of us had pork cheeks, salmon tart, sea scallops, and chowder with salads and bread. Everything seemed very fresh, and all dishes were tasty enough to eat slowly and savor the flavors (as well as share a few bites). We watched several salmon crudo plates go by -- they were beautiful and their recipients seemed to enjoy them. The pinot noir by the glass was excellent. One of us had Stash Tea. The entree portions did not leave us room for desserts. The four of us agreed that we would return when we are in Bandon.
