I was on business and in town for a day, and I had read the reviews and decided to try Alloro out. It was a Wednesday night, and they were mostly booked for the night , but I managed to get in because I was dining early. Staff was very friendly, I had the lamb which was cooked nicely (well, may have slightly over cooked, but very good none the less). the rest of the experience very nice, and would strongly recommend; but like everyone keeps saying, make reservations ahead of time no matter what day of the week.

We went to this restaurant on our second night in Bandon. The food was fine but somewhat disappointing after having eaten at the Wild Rose Bistro. The haibut was poached and it was a little tough, flavorless and overdone. It was topped with some thin sliced potatoes which did nothing to add to the color or presentation. The calamari appetizer was tasty. The crab bisque did not have much flavor, the ceasar salad was heavy on the dressing and the croutons were not fresh made. Theatmosphere is nice, the staff friendly and attentive. All in all it was fine but nothing spectacular.

For my wife's birthday we headed over to the coast from our home on the Umpqua River and ended up in Bandon for dinner. My wife and I are certainly what you call 'foodies' after owning a restaurant. The food was fantastic! Clean flavors, fresh ingredients, almost everything made right there, and fresh pasta. Prices were moderate to high, but well worth it. Don't miss the fresh pasta dishes, we ordered a pasta course split and was perfect! This is the best coastal food we have had in Oregon.

What a delight! The ambiance is soothing, the service spectacular, the food the finest we have had, beautifully prepared, and the warmth and friendliness of the co-owner and staff is worth the travel. The prices are, by our standards a tad below average for an average restaurant, which makes this establishment a MUST if in the area. We are visiting from Arizona, but have lived in 13 states and had the opportunity to eat in some very special restaurants here in the states as well as Europe, and Alloro beats them all. We will be back!!
