This is a familiar type of breakfast place. I wasn't there at night so can't speak to dinner or tavern ambience. Some regulars eat here in the morning, there's no hassle to keep customers moving so for people who like to read and eat and linger over coffee, it's great. The usual ranch breakfast (eggs, hashed browns, toast) is very good, and the fruit cup was delicious. Fruit was all fresh cantelope, grape, kiwi, watermelon, and a generous portion. A fine change from the old fruit cocktail days. The waitress talked me into trying the biscuit the second morning. The cook bakes them fresh every morning, and I could have made a complete breakfast out of one biscuit and the fruit cup. Huge and flavorful, probably not a health choice, but who cares? it was like we used to eat in olden days.
