This pub is not on the main street and noticed it as we were driving around this quaint town. We were there on a day they were brewing beer. The door to their brewery was open on the outside and that is what caught our eye. We entered the brew pub and could immediately smell the enticing aroma!
Their beer they have on tap is very good! We were served our drinks quickly along with a small bowl of peanuts. Our hostess told us to enjoy ourselves and she would check on us shortly to take our food order. We sat and enjoyed our drinks and peanuts while relaxing. We did not feel rushed to make a choice, and when we finally did, our food was delivered to us hot and fresh.
We would have stayed all day had our plans allowed us to. Definitely a find for us!

Waited 20 min for drinks while they told the table next to us they didn't have enough food to feed them. And they were out of hefeweizen!

We stopped in here after a day of skiing at Anthony Lakes. This pub had a beer on tap at the ski lodge that was very good so we decided to stop by for dinner and more drinks to try it out. The brewery is in an old building with exposed brick and modern rustic furniture. A mixture of industrial/historic/modern/rustic. It doesn't fit one category, but really works for this brewery! The custom built furniture is unique. My wife and I were very intrigued by the craftmanship. We were seated quickly and received our drinks, then appetizers. They were busy, so we were glad it took a little while to get our entrees, otherwise we would have had it to go. The appetizers are generous in portion size (never had portabella fries before - a must!), as are the entrees. The beer was not a disappointment! Our favorites were the porter (served with a cinnamon sugar donut hole), IPA, hefeweizen, and winter ale. Thanks for the great evening!

We stopped in here on a recent trip through Baker City. We are so glad we did not listen to the last 2 reviews! Upon entering this pub, we were immediately greeted with a bull elk (then our server)! We later learned this is their mascot, Hamilton. What grabbed our attention next was their brew house! Through the window we could see the brew equipment polished to a perfect finish! After seeing this, we were ready to try their beer. We were very impressed with the quality of beer especially since realizing how young his brewpub actually is (they have been brewing on their system less than a year!)! The food was excellent as well. I had their pub nachos and the pale ale, and my wife had fish tacos and the hefeweizen. We will be back next time we are through Baker City!

We were excited to learn that Baker City had a second brewery, so stopped on our way to a skiing vacation in McCall, ID. The ambiance was that of a bar. The carpets were dirty and there was only one person waiting tables for the lunch hour, the day after Christmas. He was the bartender and was a very nice person, but they needed more help. The food was okay, but not very exciting in its variety. The beer was good, but no exceptional. We love to try out brews in all of Oregon's towns as we live in the land of beer, Central Oregon. We wish the best for this establishment, but they seriously need to step it up if they want to establish any kind of reputation.
