I just read their reviews and have to agree with Diane M, Kamaaina, and Timothy H. This was a fine place, high value for price, friendly folks, convenient location. No A/C, which worried us, but ceiling fan was enough (last week of August). The doors from the parking lot open to corridors with two rooms on each side. The front two have windows on the parking lot. There is a field and garden in the back. So it is likely that those rooms are quieter, but I had no problems with being in the front. Could also see and get to my motorcycle easily. People were up and about by 7, going to get coffee and packing up cars for leaving by 8. So if you want to sleep later, ask for a back room. We did not eat breakfast there (other plans). The coffee was at best fair to OK; the rest I cannot say.

Room Tip: Back side rooms might be quieter.

The Motel is situated in the cute downtown of Baker-City. The stuff is friendly and the rooms are clean but worn. The bed wasn't very comfortable and the walls are very thin, so long sleeping is difficult. Nevertheless a good value for the price.

This was a perfect location for spending just a day in Baker City. It it within walking distance of downtown. The owner was very friendly and caring, the room was clean for an excellent price. Breakfast was fine but I had brought in my own so they were a little concerned that their's was not good enough, but this was not the case.

The hotel we'd hoped to stay in was booked, and referred us to this quaint, old, not-so-charming-looking property. Upon arrival, we were a bit dismayed, thinking we'd be subjected to thin walls and dingy upkeep. We ventured into the hallway leading to the four rooms in our unit (uh oh--four rooms so close together? Trouble!) and opened the door to a nice, CLEAN room. We had just stayed in a higher-priced hotel in Sisters that didn't begin to approach the sparkling cleanliness of the Bridge Hotel. I was in love! The price was less than half of what we'd paid in Sisters, and as it turned out, the hotel was QUIET in addition to being clean. We slept well and were never disturbed by sounds from other guests or cars in the parking lot just outside our window. The owners are very friendly and there is a small breakfast available. I would not hesitate to recommend this to travelers seeking just a good, clean place to stop for a brief overnight stay.

Stayed here one night before riding into the eastern Oregon mountains on motorcycles. Clean and in good condition. Very nice owners. Close to the downtown. Bikes right outside the door. Great price. No AC but not required even in July. Open windows and turn on ceiling fan. Coffee and bagles in the front office in the morning.

Great Deal for a friendly, comfortable and clean lodging. Right next to downtown, walking distance to restaurants. One end of motel & parking lot is next to the Powder River flowing through town. Could have caught some trout and cooked them on the barbecue available right there. Friendly staff. In office, memorabilia from motel hosting the cast & crew of "Paint Your Wagon" in 1969. "Got a dream boys, got a song--Paint Your Wagon, come along."

this little motel continues to surprise us. Very economical, friendly, our 3rd stay in less than a year. We travel quite a bit and usually prefer at least a 3 star place. They don't pretend to be that, I am sure, but compete very nicely. Will be happy to stay there again, when in the area
