Loved the variety of historical artifacts. The rock and gem display is one of the best I've ever seen. The period rooms upstairs are excellent. One of the best small-town museums I've ever visited!

I live in Baker City and have volunteered at this museum for the last four summers. I have learned so much about Baker County and Northeast Oregon. The exhibits are always changing each season. A walk through the museum is like walking through history. From the early gold strikes that made Baker City grow to the history of ranching and farming, it makes Baker County history come alive. And of course you can't leave without seeing the Rock and mineral room. I have been in there several times and still see something new every time I go in. This museum is a must see stop for anyone who comes to Baker City.

Excellent displays representing the local history. Helpful staff. The Geologic rock, mineral and fossil exhibit was something everyone should see. The Museum looks well kept and clean. Good job folks.

This is a low-key City museum in a nice old building. Exhibits range from city architectural history to the importance of agriculture to a set up of a vintage optician's office to an exhibit on the lives of three Chinese families who are long-time residents to memorabilia from the filming of "Paint Your Wagon" and much more of local importance. It's a nice peephole into the past of a mining supply town turned cow town turned prosperous little city.
