“Small, but interesting”
Reviewed May 5, 2014

This Center is about 5 miles from I-84, away from town, and away from everything. If you are hungry, make sure you get something to eat before you come here, as the snacks at this Center is minimal, and there are no eating places nearby.

Prepared to spend about an hour here. It's an interesting stop, but probably not worth a drive by itself. There are exhibits, videos, and a small kids area. There is also an auditorium, but it only displayed dvd intro screen and no one near to actually activate it.

Located at top of a hill, there are some stage coaches nearby to take photos of. The scenery is also quite pretty, especially when there are some snow at nearby mountains.

The entrance fee seems a bit high, but educational value is quite good.

“A great perspective on the Great Emigration”
Reviewed April 28, 2014

If you enjoy Western history and enjoy first hand accounts of what the settling of America was like, the OR Trail Center is a must stop if you are near Baker City. We went there expecting to spend an hour and were there for closer to three.
