We stayed in a corner suite and we very please with the hotel. The value was great, and it is an interesting hotel to explore. We enjoyed the Lobster Dinner at the hotel plus the bar after dinner.
Very pleseant and helpful staff.

Room Tip: Go to the bar on Friday night and listen to the fiddle player.

We recently stayed at Geiser Grand. We loved every minute of the experience. We not only experienced the use of a gorgeous room, but the great attention of the staff. From check-in to check-out we were taken care of beautifully. What comfort and style. The food was wonderful,
especially served in such fantastic surroundings. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable.
We would like to return to try each and every room.

Room Tip: We don't know yet-but we plan to try them all.

This is a must see historic hotel from the Gold Rush days. We stayed in the Cupola suite. Amazing! No pictures I've seen or taken do it justice. I also want to mention the impeccable condition of the room & rest of hotel. The rooms are so well maintained I did not notice failing grout or caulk in the bathrooms, chipped paint, or even a bit of lint in the corners. Not that I was looking, but you see that so much in large chain hotels these days-I wonder why housekeeping can't clean the corners of the rooms & baths. No in room movie system, you just borrow a DVD from the vast video library at the front desk then return it when you're done! We ate in the main dining room, while the service was great and the food was acceptable, they definitely tried too hard and would have done better with simpler better quality food. Sitting in the bar after dinner listening to a local gal play the fiddle was so fun. Breakfast in the am (breakfast bagel sand. & fruit for my husband and fruit + 1 pancake for me took over 35 min. His sandwich was nitro hot from just having the cheese melted in the microwave & my pancake was cold. They do offer an excellent coffee & tea service in the morning in the library on the 2nd floor. So convenient. It was even faster for me to go refill my hot water for my tea upstairs vs. waiting for the server to do it in the breakfast restaurant. Great experience, but not for dining. We did not have time to do the walking tour or look in the shops in Baker City, but drove around on our way out of town. I would definitely do that next time & would recommend it.

We stayed at the Grand - and yes it is grand - Geiser in Baker City, Oregon for just one night. Our stay was very pleasant. The music in the bar was a lovely added touch. We had a room service meal and felt like we were in the lap of luxury. The service and staff was terrific. We are looking forward to another stay the first chance we have. Baker City is a great place to kick back for a few hours or a few days.

We could not have been more pleased with the Grand Geiser. Beautiful restored hotel. Very friendly staff. Terrific room - very clean and comfortable. Restaurant and bar were fabulous - delicious food! The violinist and gaitar entertainment were delightful! We plan to return again and again!!

Room Tip: You will not be disappointed!!!

The Geiser Grand is a beatifically restored hotel. We stayed in a corner suite, the room and bathroom were larger than needed. The almost floor to ceiling windows were very impressive with the 15ft ceilings. Our only complaint was the four-poster bed was so tall that it was awkward to climb into. Dinner in the hotel was also very nice; staff was friendly, and the menu had many options.

We stayed several nights in March of 2013....enjoyed a parlour suite which was clean and quiet. comfortable king-size bed with mountain views. nice linens. the hotel is a "classic" which has recently been renovated and coneys a real sense of history that we enjoyed. a few limitations: no coffee maker (wiring may not support), not many plugs for chargers. Staff are nice and helpful although some are not very experienced...staffing may be difficult in a small town.
We had dinner and enjoyed the prime rib specials...very nice. breakfast was "ok" in the downstairs bar area.

Room Tip: views vary...ask about them. prices quoted may be for one person only...with a small add-on for add...
