“Decent stay”

The service was great and we took the shuttle as well, which was wonderful. The water playground was freezing cold and the hot tub was broken. The bathroom didn't have an exhaust, so the entire room was humid. There wasn't a fridge or microwave in the room, but the breakfast was good and not over priced. The sleep number beds were awful!

I really enjoyed my stay. The service was good and the value was good. My son liked the water park. My only problem was with the steel painted steps to the big water slide. There was no handrail and they were super slick. I saw numerous kids fall on them. If i owend the hotel, I'd put in espanded metal steps. Painted of course. This will let the water drain and possibly prevent a lawsuite. I can't figure out who put in a plastic slide and used those steps. Not to mention how it passes an inspection.

The hotel is under renovation and the hotel has not received all of the furniture for the rooms. It took at least an hour to get into a room that had enough furniture to stay for two nights.

We purchased two nights via Hotwire.com at $52.00 per night for September 21 and 22, 2012. Hotwire listed it as a 3-1/2 star property which seemed appropriate. The rooms were huge (18' x 14' not including the bathroom area). They have "sleep number" beds (which I do not particularly like). However, I know that they are popular with a lot of people.

There are two pools ... one outside that goes to a depth of 5-1/2 feet ... and one inside designed for children that has a maximum depth of 3-1/2 feet. The inside pool has slides and other activities that younger children would love. My only complaint was that the water in the hot tub (which is also inside) was COLD.

It is in a nice location on the far east side of Tulsa about 5 miles from the airport.

Overall the hotel and room were nice. Plenty of space in the room and it was clean. TV had all HD channels (at least ESPN and Disney). The front desk staff were very friendly and efficient at check in. My only complaint with the room was the Sleep Number beds, I think they are about the most uncomfortable beds around (I guess I haven't found my sleep number!)

Leapin' Louie's Lagoon was another story. We like the lagoon and have stayed at the hotel before specifically for a treat for our kids. This time the pool had a sewer like smell to it and the water was green. As soon as you opened the door to the pool area the smell hit you.

As for the outdoor pool it wasn't cleaned either. It was clean when we arrived, but that evening there was a storm with a lot of wind and it filled the pool with leaves. When we went to check the next day around mid-mornding, the pool was still filled with leaves.

Lastly, we had room service for dinner and when we were done we put the tray in the hall. That tray was still there when we left at check out time the next morning and was not smelling too fresh.

I gave the poor rating because we were staying specifically for Leapin' Louie's and the pool. This hotel would have been fine for an overnight business stay requiring only a place to sleep and shower.

I stayed here with my daugther & my two grandaugthers ( 6yrs & 4 yrs old) for two nights. Didn't have any problems, so didn't have to commute with the staff. The room was very clean, the beds have a number mattress & they also had a small fridge; which was helpful since we brought our own breakfast & drinks..The Louie's Leaping Lagoon was the reason why we came,( indoor water park with tunnel side, raining Palm tree, frog slide etc.) the kid's loved it.Not recommended for older kids; it's only 3ft deep. They kept it very clean. We enjoyed going early in the morning, they had the place to themselves. Also liked there was plenty of eating place around the area & a grocery store across the street. Worth staying; only wished they offered breakfast..

This was our 1st stay at this property and a spur of the moment choice. Plans with family & friends for an outdoor birthday party were rained-out so 6 families (with children) scrambled & secured rooms at the Wyndham, Tulsa. Our initial impression at check-in was good... great curb-appeal, attractive lobby and very friendly staff. Our rooms were spotless, modern & very comfortable. If we'd have been there without the kids, relaxing in our rooms would have been plenty... to bring us back. But... one glance at Leapin' Louie's (the indoor waterpark) and the kids couldn't get into their swimsuits fast enough! If you don't like the sound of lots of kids having lots of fun, don't go in there! If you'd rather... there's a nice outdoor pool with covered tables & chairs, as well as a full view & easy access in/out of Leapin' Louie's. The adults in our party were there because of the kids (ages 3 to 12) and all had a fabulous time! Afterwards, the crisp-white linens & super-comfy beds in our rooms offered us all a superior-night's sleep. If you haven't taken your kids here... do it! You will be creating memories with them that will last a lifetime! If you don't have kids (to get you into Leapin' Louie's) go anyway! You won't be disappointed. Lastly, I can't say enough about the management. We had one issue (outside their control) and everyone from the desk clerk to the General Manager went out of their way to make sure we were happy and eager to stay with them again. Can't wait to go back... our newest go-to place for fun with the grandkids!

Room Tip: some of the rooms (not all) have a mini-fridge & microwave. if this is important to you... ask.
