We had a large group of people that had not been to Tulsa before. This was a great way to learn a lot about the city. Good stuff!

Our volunteer organization was holding its state convention in Tulsa, and I was in charge of organizing it. For our Friday evening pre-convention event, we went to Dilly Diner for dinner and met Kelly aboard an Old Urban Trolley for a Tulsa highlights tour. We traveled through neighborhoods I had never heard of, learned a lot about and explored the Boston Avenue Methodist Church, went into one of Waite Phillip’s tunnels, saw cool public art and drove along a bit of Riverside Drive, learned about Black Wall Street and the Tulsa race massacre, saw the revitalization of that area, and returned to the Blue Dome District, where a few of our folks ate some dessert at Dilly Diner. Kelly had so many stories about outlaws, artists, oilmen, churches, buildings, and Tulsa history, and the Tulsa natives of our group all learned so many new things about their city! Thanks, Kelly, for a great tour and wonderful stories that brought the Magic City alive!

Ronda was an awesome tour guide and shared interesting information for all ages in our group. We learned so many fun facts about the city that we have lived in for years but never knew.

This is a great way to learn the interesting, often unknown history of Tulsa. As a native Tulsan, I learned a lot and loved seeing the familiar downtown buildings in a new light! Our tour guide, Ronda, shared lots of interesting stories and really made the architecture and history come alive!
