Chimera is not only the best restaurant in Tulsa - it's also one of the best places I've ever eaten, period -- better than similar-seeming espresso bars/gastropubs in places like San Francisco, Seattle, and New York. While Chimera serves espresso drinks and pour-over coffees -- which do not disappoint -- unlike most coffee houses, the food here does not taste like an afterthought. Instead, it tastes like what you hope to find when going out for a special meal. Subtle, complex flavors; fresh, housemade bread -- but you can have it for a quick breakfast (breakfast tacos with housemade adzuki bean sausage), a working lunch (BBQ tofu sandwich; homemade vegan soups); or a special dinner (the best pizzas in Tulsa). The food coming out of Rob's kitchen is almost always made with in-house, from-scratch ingredients; innovative yet simple spice combinations, and there are always vegetarian and vegan options. But even die-hard meat-loving Okies report to me that they eat the BBQ tofu sandwich with regularity.
They also always have tasty (some vegan) baked goods, and a full bar.
At night, come here for a drink and dinner) made with housemade ginger beer, housemade liqueurs, and tea-infused gin.
I can't sing Chimera's praises enough, but I will stop now.

Wanting to get away from the standard breakfast fare at the Brady Arts District Fairfield Inn recently, I took a short walk down to Chimera at the recommendation of the staff at The Tavern the night before. The coffee alone was worth the walk!! I also ordered a breakfast taco with eggs and cheeses and bacon; it was delicious, but pretty small, even for $3. I would have ordered two if I had known that it was going to be so small.

Still, it was delicious. If you are a coffee freak, then this is definitely the place you need to visit for your breakfast hour in downtown Tulsa.

A friend told me to try this place and it did not disappoint. They have made to order fresh ground coffee a very cool menu of all kinds of variations on the egg taco. Great addition to the Brady area.

Chimera is the place to go if you are a coffee fanatic! Best coffee offerings in Tulsa. The breakfast menu offers gourmet breakfast tacos and the lunch and dinner offerings are unique and delicious.
Atmosphere makes you think you are not in Tulsa Great music and strong wi-fi. Full bar with interesting beers too. Bloody Mary's are the best.

Took my daughter to this Vegan-friendly restaurant not knowing what to expect and came away quite pleased. Located in the Brady Arts District, Chimera is a welcome addition to the growing restaurant scene there. Situated on N Main St, our table was next to the front window which was perfect for people watching. The interior walls are old exposed brick. The overall decor, I'd call "urban hip."

I had the A BLT sandwich. The bacon was thick sliced and slightly crunchy with a wonderful hickory flavor. The tomatoes, lettuce and avacado all seemed fresh and everything was served on tribeca toast(?) spread with homemade mayo. Believe me when i say it was yum!

My daughter had the Vegan BLT which substituted homemade smoked adzuki strips for the bacon and "veganaise" for the mayo. Both entrees were served with a generous side
of carrots and hummus.

Although we didn't try them, Chimera also offers breakfast tacos, coffees, expressos, and lattes. Next time I'm downtown in the morning, Chimera will definitely be my "go to" spot!
