Believe it or not my favorite dish is the roasted cauliflower. Pine nuts, golden raisins and mint/arugula combination is just amazing. The mussels are also a great staple. If they have the trout or halibut order those as well.

Sit at the bar ask Liz what is the special or soup for the day and relax. I enjoy watching the efficient staff work and always ask Liz for a wine pairing for my soup or salad. The staff there is so great! The food is rich and delicious, the drinks are spot on and the atmosphere is so nice. Make this your lunch spot or special restaurant. Such a wonderful place!

Recently I needed help planning a simple but elegant birthday party for my wife. Amelia immediately worked diligently to help create a memorable and special experience for my wife and our family. She coordinated a special menu, cake and even included my wife's name on the printed menu!

Thanks again to Amelia and her team and chef for creating a wonderful experience for my wife and us all!

Really good food! Small menu- controlled flavor and quality- attentive waitstaff- great wine list- deserves a return visit. Ordered the potato gnocchi with two meatballs- greenbean & beet salad and hot fresh bread!

Eight visits over six months to the Stonehorse Cafe still leave me uncertain.

At times, it comes close to excellent. Service has always been attentive and appropriate. The ambiance is charming, although slightly too loud for my taste.

The food is well-conceived, but... Perhaps satisfying Tulsa's appetites is not good always for haute cuisine.

This is an expensive restaurant, with high aspirations. But why is delicately prepared duck breast placed on a giant sea of shrimp risotto? Why are two perfectly roasted lamb chops overwhelmed by a sea of flageolets, mushrooms, sausage, and sauce? Raw Brussels Sprouts salad requires the extra stomach and molars of a ruminant to digest. All the entrees are too big, too constructed, too ... much.

But the bread is excellent (sometimes). The wine list is sophisticated (if expensive). The waitstaff is skilled.

Desserts are best avoided, unless a sweet tooth directed at obesity drives you.

This restaurant is a tease. So very close to excellent, and yet so far.
