“Big gold guy with a drilling rig”
Reviewed May 18, 2013 via mobile

It's free and easy to get to. 76' high guy with drilling rig makes for a fun picture but don't expect anything more,

Maybe there will be something going on like a gun show, dog show or flea market at the adjacent show grounds.

“Black Gold! Texas Tea! Well, Oklahoma Tea...”
Reviewed May 15, 2013

Another Roadside America we visited. Anyone on a tight budget with small children should stop at this one, along with anyone intrested in oilfields. The kiddies will be impressed with the sheer size of the figure and the oilfield enthusiast will want a photo. Plus, it's free!

“Big Gold Guy!”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

It is a statue that has been a landmark in Tulsa for 50 years. It is erected when Tulsa was the Oil Capitol of the World - before Houston took the title in a fair fight. It is worth a drive and picture as you will not see anything like this anywhere else.

“So tacky it's great!”

You must see it for yourself! This is iconic Tulsa - and represents the time when Tulsa was the oil capital of the world.

“Tuls'as Statue of Liberty”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

This statue is big. We always see him during the Tulsa Sate Fair. Something interesting to see. During the fair he wears a t-shirt.
