Oxley Nature Center offers great trails. I've been to the center multiple times, and each time the nature center itself is a disappointment. It doesn't offer much more than some bird watching from the indoors, with little about the types of animals and marshland the center is built on. Most locals skip the center and go straight to the trails. Just keep in mind, it is a marshland and Oklahoma summers are full of mosquitoes and the woods with ticks. The trails are great and generally well cleared. It's more fun coming out after a little rain and going for a muddy walk! There's a great viewing area of the Recreation Lake and Coal Creek. One trip, I even came out into a clearing, nearly face-to-face with a deer!
