“Great trails”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2014

Oxley Nature Center offers great trails. I've been to the center multiple times, and each time the nature center itself is a disappointment. It doesn't offer much more than some bird watching from the indoors, with little about the types of animals and marshland the center is built on. Most locals skip the center and go straight to the trails. Just keep in mind, it is a marshland and Oklahoma summers are full of mosquitoes and the woods with ticks. The trails are great and generally well cleared. It's more fun coming out after a little rain and going for a muddy walk! There's a great viewing area of the Recreation Lake and Coal Creek. One trip, I even came out into a clearing, nearly face-to-face with a deer!

“Nice walking trails”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2013

Nice place to walk the numerous. Be better if there weren't airplanes landing closeby. Staff was very friendly with a nice nature center. It was fun watching the kiddos feeding the turtles and fish. Lots and lots of turtles.

“Back to nature in the city”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

I love the Oxley Nature Center. It's funny how I can go here & walk the trails & walk much further & enjoy it much more than when I'm walking my neighborhood streets. It's a little piece of beauty & peace right in Tulsa. You'll feel like you are much further out in the country.

“Oxley Nature Center”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2013

We went to the Oxley Nature Center on 1-19-13. It was a Saturday and a very warm day in Tulsa. I took my three kids with me, (ages 9, 7, and 6). The center was nice. There was a cross section of a tree that had fallen down a the center. I think it was 150 year old. It was interesting. The marshland was beautiful to see. The kids enjoyed picking up things along the trail. It was a lot more fun that sitting inside on a warm day in January! We also went to the playground near the zoo. The trails are also well marked and some are very short.

“Great hiking trails”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013 via mobile

The help desk is courteous and helpful, giving me activities for my daughter. The nature center itself leaves me a little bored, but the trails outside are fun, convenient and clean. Center even supplied DEET for the really yucky days!
