“Creative "Boutique" Pizzas and Friendly Manager and Wait Staff”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

This is another great place in the Brady Arts District! Its specialty, at least during the lunch hour, is thin crust,oven-fired pizzas with a highly creative flair. During the lunch hour one can order not only a whole pizza to split among two or more people, but either a slice or two of any of the "stock" pizzas with a salad. That's what my wife and I did, and she even ordered two different slices with her salad. There's a great selection of draft and bottled beers, including several fantastic Oklahoma microbrews. In short, this is a great place for lunch in the Brady District.

“Beer, and Pie = Upscale Movie Night”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

I went here last week after doing a downtown rickshaw tour with some old high school buddies. I was told we were going to get pizza, Yup. That was the best pizza I've ever eaten, and my friends make pizza for a living, I'm saying, this restaurant is fine. There was a small jazz quartet setting up for later in the evening (I imagine they were great, based on their beards and soul-full professionalism) Their beer and wine menus are extensive, with bottles filling one wall, and taps on the other side of the bar. Red October was playing on an archaic looking fireplace by a movie projector. Hey Mambo is spacy enough to be fill the atmosphere, yet quaint enough that chaos is not it's atmosphere. And to be fair, it is WAY more than pizza, they also have a great and appropriate-to-fine dining sized menu of savory Italian cuisine.

“Great, especially on Art Crawl Fridays”
Reviewed December 23, 2012

the food is always exceptional. On the first Friday of each month, the restaurant participates in the Art Crawl. We heard a lovely jazz band.

“Hip and Tasty”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

Located adjacent to the Guthrie Green, this tasty gem is in an area that is in very active revitalization. Hey Mambo has a great inside dining room, but the real fun is on the patio. Just a few tables there, but the chance to sit back, relax and enjoy one of their fresh-made pizzas al fresco is well worth the trip. Wait staff is friendly and efficient. This is a great find in a great location

“Great food and service in a Lively Environment”
Reviewed November 10, 2012

We stopped by on our way to the Performing Arts Center for dinner. The decor is modern industrial with some exposed brick and wood. The food was excellent and prepared to order and the staff was attentive. Jocelyn was there playing violin and has an impressive, almost unlimited repertoire, in nearly every genre. Great evening. That area of Tulsa is enjoying resurgence, and with that come construction. It was never an issue for our visit, the streets were clear, easy to get in and out. Still, I hope the restaurant receives enough traffic to see it through the renovation of nearby buildings.
