“In Great Need of Refurbishment”
Reviewed August 26, 2011

This hotel is in great need of a refurbishment. This was the first stop on a classic American road trip vacation. On our drive to Yellowstone National Park, we stayed at Fairfield Inns in Colorado Springs, CO; Rapid City, SD; Grand Island, NE; and Rogers, AR. There were four adults on the trip. The unanimous opinion of all four was that this property was the worst of all the Fairfield Inns in which we stayed.

The towels we old and thread bear. The bed was completely worn-out. The TV was the old tube style. The entire place was in need of refurbishment.

This property does not meet Marriott standards. I am a Gold Elite member of the Marriott rewards program. I have stayed numerous times at Marriott properties and this property is near the bottom.

The front desk clerk at check-in was very efficient. At least the staff is up to standards.

I am pleased with my choice. I just stayed one night but found the staff friendly and helpful, the room comfortable, and everything in clean and working order. Exactly what I needed for a few hours of relaxation and a good night's rest.

There are at least half a dozen similar hotels all next to each other.

In Tulsa for the Route 66 Marathon. Staff made sure everything was taken care of and checked on us several times during our stay. They opened breakfast early for the event as well as provided an EXTREMELY late check out so my friend could take a shower after the race. THANK YOU!!

Location may seem far away but its not at all. Hotel provides excellent lists of dining options sorted by area with easy driving directions.

If looking for a local treat, try Tucci's on 15th for homemade pasta.

We switched to this Marriott property after a bad check-in experience down the street. We did not let Fairfield know of our experience until after we had already booked their room. As soon as we walked in the door, we were greeted warmly and felt our business was appreciated. Once we accepted the quoted price, the clerk offered to locate and apply our Marriott Member number. We upgraded to a suite for the $10 difference. The room was newly updated and the decor was modern. Mid-afternoon freshly baked cookies were available in the lobby. Breakfast was included and again the staff was helpful and courteous. When in Stillwater,OK we stay at Hampton Inn so we will probably give that a try when next in Tulsa. This hotel was fine but our Hampton Inn experience usually provides a better breakfast. Which is too bad because the staff here was so nice!

This place advertises on a billboard that it has free wireless internet access.
That's why we stopped around 8:30 p.m. and paid a premium motel price for a night's lodging. Other very similar places near the interstate were much cheaper.
But the wireless access didn't work . Desk clerk didn't have a clue about how to get it to work. Apparently it has some kind of pop up for a password, but it never worked for me.
She tried to blame it on my laptop which works just fine in restaurants and other hotels.
Moral -- never believe a hotel or motel that advertises free wireless internet and don't pay extra for that amenity.

I stayed here for 3 days in November due to a business trip. I have stayed here before and like its location to downtown and the many restaurants that are walking distance from the hotel. The room I had on the second floor was clean and well maintained. I had a microwave and small fridge in the room too. Since my last trip 2 years ago, the breakfast room has had a make over that opened up the area. They have hot and cold cereal, oatmeal, bagels, waffles, and fresh fruits along with juices, coffee and tea. Everyone from the front desk personal to the kitchen staff was very friendly.

Good rate, clean, lots of amenities (including indoor pool), newspapers, breakfast, Located in a thoroughly unexciting neighborhood (or what passes for neighborhoods in ugly, sprawling Tulsa) that at least has restaurants and some Western clothing stores that you can wlak to. Also a block from a bus transit center.

  • Liked — Clean, roomy, amenities, cost
  • Disliked — Location. It's in Tulsa, and there's little good about Tulsa.
